Someone shared this with me. How about instead of just having award shows were celebrities give each other praise for acting, dancing, and singing, that we create a national award show that recognizes first responders throughout our country who have amazing stories regarding their bravery? Of course, people like these wouldn’t use their time to discuss politics so that would make the show more enjoyable.
As for me, I’d love hearing their stories and would be way more inclined to watch their award show over the others. I’ve boycotted these celebrity award shows for the last few years, except for country music award shows, because they don’t push their political ideology down my throat.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if we did recognize the people who are truly making a difference in our country? Giving praise to one another for acting, dancing, and singing, only serves to dumb-down our country.
