I'm certainly not in the know about all the intricate details of this vote, I'm just going by the belief system I was taught growing up and that is to know who your real friends are and then have their backs no matter what.
When President Obama first got in office and made his apology tour in the Middle-East he bypassed visiting the one Democratic State in the region (and our greatest Ally), Israel. On the way out the door he disrespects them again by abstaining from a vote (man up don't abstain), to help Israel at the U.N. council. Of course Arab counties weren't going to support Israel as a matter of fact they almost always vote against the United States on various resolutions just out of spite; they've demonstrated time and time again that they aren't our friends.
I'm certainly not in the know about all the intricate details of this vote, I'm just going by the belief system I was taught growing up and that is to know who your real friends are and then have their backs no matter what. Of course we just celebrated the greatest miracle of all but I thought you might enjoy another amazing miracle that happened to a Serbian flight attendant by the name of Vesna Vulovic back in 1972. Terrorists placed a bomb on board the flight she was working (Yugoslav Flight 364), and the explosion tore the DC-9 to pieces, but Vesna survived. She was strapped in her seat when the bomb went off and part of the plane along with her spiraled down 33,000 feet then struck a snow-covered mountain.
Her injuries included a fractured skull, two broken legs, and three broken vertebrae, one of which left her temporarily paralyzed from the waist down. She regained the use of her legs after several months of surgeries. She was also in a coma for 27 days. Vulovic was the only survivor on the flight and not only lived to tell about it, but continued working for the airline in a desk job after she recovered from the crash. Vesna Vulovic became a national hero in Yugoslavia. Could you imagine falling from the sky like that? I can tell you that I would've spent that time in a very serious conversation with God mostly asking for forgiveness for being so stupid here on earth! We all know the Federal Government waste money (both parties), in order to generate votes. A lot of money makes it to Liberal universities for "junk research" which is a tactic Democrats use to gain leverage with the university system knowing these institutions will be more inclined to push their ideology to young people. I could list hundreds of these junk research projects but here's a few for you to digest that are wasting millions of taxpayer dollars: 1) Research to study what makes for the perfect first date. Magazines write hundreds of articles regarding this subject...it's been researched to death. 2) Research to study if smiling in a selfie makes you happier. That will really help move the needle on our country's success. 3) Research to study whether or not if the Federal Government pays for studies will the studies produce better results? Don't let this one sink in too much or you'll want to throw up. When it comes to their spending they are not at all transparent because they know what they're doing in many cases is unethical. We need to hold politicians accountable for their spending tactics because we work way too hard to have them play fast and loose with our tax dollars. I've provided a link below of the organization that is doing the best job catching both parties scamming us (Citizens Against Government Waste). It won't go away on its own so if you'd get involved in this matter it would be greatly appreciated. http://www.cagw.org/reporting/pig-book I watched Steve Martin and his band, perform a Bluegrass music concert on DVD yesterday and it was amazing. Besides their fantastic music, Martin also injected humor throughout the performance which really made it a lot of fun.
He was a bit quirky and funny growing up as we’d expect but a lot of people don’t know that he was also a high school cheerleader much to various coaches dismay because he was a good sized kid being six feet tall and medium build. Martin was extremely intelligent and started off pursuing a doctorate in philosophy at U.C.L.A.so he could become a professor. In one of his comedy routines he said the following: "If you're studying geology it’s all about facts so as soon as you get out of school you forget it all, but with philosophy you remember just enough to screw you up for the rest of your life." Now, that’s funny! During his time in college he also worked at Disney Land and was fascinated by the different shows there especially magic/illusions. He ended up learning some of the tricks of the trade and began performing in various places for free and got hooked on performing. To keep the audience entertained he also performed comedy while doing his tricks and he began getting more excitement from the crowd out of what he was saying than what he was doing so it got him thinking about making comedy his career. While writing his comedic material he realized he had a great knack for doing it. Then one day he ran into an ex-girlfriend who was working on the Smothers Brothers’ Show and she said she’d take some of his comedy material to the senior writer of the show and he loved it. The show didn’t have any more money in their budget at the time but he liked Steve’s material so much that he paid his salary until the show could pick it up. In 1969, Martin received an Emmy Award for his writing on the show and he was only 23 years old at the time. Steve was a tall handsome guy who was also charming and funny and one day a scout for the Dating Game Show talked him into being one of their contestants. He ended up winning the date and he was so funny that they asked him to be a contestant again. He said yes, and once again had the crowd roaring with laughter and he won the date. Martin opened up doing stand-up comedy for a few musical groups including: The Carpenters, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Toto. He also became a hot commodity on all the late night shows. His performances became famous on Saturday Night Live (We are two wild and crazy guys!), and every time he hosted SNL which was 15 times, ratings jumped substantially. Coincidentally one of his best friends, Gilda Radner, died on a Saturday in 1989 and he hosted SNL that night. In tribute, they showed a sketch he and Gilda had done for the show years earlier. By way, during much of this time (70’s through early 80’s), Martin was romantically involved with Bernadette Peters although they never married. Because of his popularity Steve decided to release a comedy album called: Let’s Get Small and it went platinum not common in the comedy business. Then his second album: A Wild and Crazy Guy also went platinum. At the end of the album was a song he wrote called: King Tut which was turned into a single and reached 17th on Billboard’s Top 100 song list. Steve got the idea for the song when he heard that the King Tut Museum was going on tour. Martin decided to stop performing comedy and instead try his luck at acting. His first major film appearance was in the Beatle’s Sargent Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band where he acted and sang. In 1979, Martin co-wrote and starred in The Jerk, directed by Carl Reiner. The movie was a huge success, grossing over $100 million on a budget of approximately $4 million. Acting ended up being very good to him as he’s participated in 54 movies including: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Father of the Bride, Cheaper by the Dozen, The Pink Panther, etc. At the same time he was performing in movies he also became a successful playwright writing the play; Picasso at the Lapin Agile which ran for several years across the U.S. He always loved music and learned to play the banjo when he was 17. His favorite music wasn’t mainstream, especially in Hollywood, as he preferred Bluegrass. While visiting North Carolina in 2008 his wife (Anne Stringfield, who worked for the New Yorker Magazine), went on a fly fishing outing with some of her family (Steve didn’t go), and they really liked their fishing guide. Come to find out he performed with a Bluegrass band called “The Steep Canyon Rangers” and he invited them to come hear their show. Victoria talked Steve into going although he wasn’t enthusiastic about it because they were a local group. He ended up falling in love with them and they decided to perform together as Steve would be able to increase the size and locations of their venues. It was a great move, Martin released his first Bluegrass album in 2009 followed by four others through 2015 and each of the five albums reached number one on the Bluegrass charts. Martin has won five Grammy Awards during his career. Over all he’s been nominated and/or won 44 awards in his career for acting, comedy, movies, music, television, writing, etc. I probably couldn’t find anyone who doesn’t know his name but I bet very few who know how truly accomplished Steve Martin is. If you ever get the chance to see him perform please do so. Listening to the music was awesome but his humor between each song and the humorous songs themselves, made it even better. By the way, at the age of 69 Steve Martin finally became a father as his daughter was born in 2012. They are raising her outside of the spotlight; I don’t think her real name has ever been reported. In yet another example of a deplorable double-standard, Democrats are saying (among many things), that Trump isn't qualified to become President because he has no experience. What experience did the junior Senator from Illinois have to become President of the United States?
He had VERY little leadership experience as he only had to manage a handful of people during his civilian career. He didn't have to write strategic plans. He didn't deal with budgets. He didn't deal with balance sheets and profit & loss statements. He had no real foreign policy experience. He wasn’t worldly. The fact is, Trump is pretty much the only "real world" Chief Executive Officer to become our country's Chief Executive Officer. Democrats mostly supported Obama because he was African American and had great oratory skills. It would be real challenge finding a Liberal who can make a case beyond this although they'll try to say he was a Constitutional Law Professor which he wasn't...he was a part-time lecturer. The Liberal Media (and their followers), are embarrassing themselves yet again when they bring up the argument that Trump doesn't have the experience because he certainly has way more experience than the Democrats' token from 2008. MTV just launched a video that is titled: "2017 New Year’s Resolutions for White Guys" which is a sarcastic slap in the face. Here were some of the resolutions...1) "Try to recognize that America was never 'great' for anyone who wasn't a white guy," a young woman said. 2) "Blue Lives Matter isn't a thing. Cops weren't born with blue skin, right?" was another resolution. 3) Don't think you're not racist just because you have black friends said one person.
Could you imagine if a white person came up with New Year’s resolutions for African Americans? The African American community would be livid and whoever did it would lose their job and possibly be arrested for inciting violence. It's absolutely disgusting and yet another example out of thousands of how Liberals use double-standards against Conservatives. I don't think a lot of people know that one of the first car designs was done in Germany way back in 1769 and it had a steam engine. Ford sometimes gets credit for being the first but his contribution to the automobile industry was an assembly line in the early 1900’s that made a more affordable car with a more effective and efficient engine.
What I find amazing is that as cars started leaving the production lines in the U.S. the Wright Brothers flew their first aircraft so just as most Americans were amazed at the new carriages without horses, they were once again amazed that flight was possible. Could you imagine living back then to see all this? By the way, have you ever wondered where the term horse power came from? It was the best way to describe the power an engine had back then as consumers could relate how much pull horses had in pulling their carriages around. The terminology stuck. One of the many tactics Democrats and the mainstream media used to try and bury Trump is they trashed Trump's supporters (a.k.a. deplorables). Let's take a look at this: 1) The Democrat Party was caught sending in their people to try and invoke Trump supporters attending rallies to get in fights. 2) The Muslim woman in NYC got caught lying about being attacked by Trump supporters and was arrested for falsifying a police report. 3) It just came out that an African American church in Greenville, MS that was said to have been burned down by a Trump supporter was actually torched by an African American trying to fan the flames against Trump by putting a Vote Trump sign at the scene of the crime. By the way you can go to Google to prove my upcoming point and this is a huge majority of black churches are burned down by African American males. The fact is a white person running around in some of those communities would stand out which is the last thing they'd want if they wanted to get away with the crime.
Of course the media jumped all over the above issues and demonized Trump and his supporters hoping to make it look like no one should admit they support him because they're a bunch of unredeemable deplorables. Have you heard the mainstream media correct their stories? I've got to hand it to them, they gave it 110% in their attempt to get Hillary elected but in the end, they lost anyway. It's funny listening to Democrats do the best they can to trash Trump's picks for his cabinet when they are way more qualified for their positions than the professional polititicans Obama put in place like Ben Rhoades who has no qualifications to be the Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications. His background is in political roles not the military or security whereas that's exactly what Trump is bringing in. Not only is he not qualified he has been caught lying to Americans about the Iran Deal yet he wasn't removed from his post; it's almost like lying is considered a positive trait with some in the Democrat Party. Anyhow, the best way to look at it is the more Democrats scream about Trump's choices the more we know he's doing a great job.
Caitlin Jenner (Bruce), won Glamour magazine's "Woman of the Year." There were so many outstanding things done this year by amazing women all over our country yet Glamour gives the award to her. All if this perceived political correctness is sickening me and certainly not fair to the women who were truly deserving of the award.
