I calculated the number of serial killers in the U.S. since they started tracking them (231), and took into consideration the number of people living in the U.S. throughout the years of the serial killers being around and I came up with them making up .00001% of our population. Serial killers get a lot of press and are a part of many story lines in movies and on television but we should keep in mind evil people like them are extremely rare.
The fact is even if we take into consideration these evil people and all those who are incarcerated and currently in the judicial process, most Americans are good people. We need to remember this when we leave our homes and go out into the world.
