When three of our security agencies (i.e., CIA, FBI, HLS, etc.), verified that Omar, Schiff, and Swalwell, would no longer qualify for that level of clearance in the private sector due to a variety of violations, it gave McCarthy the reinforcement he needed to kick them off the Intelligence Committee. Keep in mind, democrats had set precedence by removing republicans from important committees and hearings with no back-up that they had done anything wrong. Democrats started the practice last Congress yet are making it sound like republicans did. It’s a blatant lie. I’m still shocked that so many liberals are like sheep and not thinking for themselves. Or worse, maybe they know it’s all a lie and they don’t care. They are the end justifies the means, party.
Although I had top-secret clearance, it didn’t mean I had the authority to look at anything deemed “Top Secret.” Pretty much every communication that arrived on our submarine was top-secret because our missions were, but I was only given information where I had a need to know which was generally focused on what our mission was, where I had to navigate the submarine to get to those missions, and I plotted on a hidden chart, what the Russian navy was doing and where they were located.
Omar, Schiff, and Swalwell (there were others too, like Nadler), were constantly trying to get their hands on classified information that they had no legitimate reasons to possess. They were trying to see what they could find that might help them impeach Trump and they were casting a large net, something that our law enforcement agencies aren’t supposed to do nor allow as it negatively impacts civil rights. In other words, if a judge signs off on a warrant to retrieve a suspect’s mobile phone and laptop and they’re on the suspect’s kitchen table, the police aren’t allowed to search anywhere else in the house. Anything left out in the open on their way to retrieve these items is fair game, but that’s it. Anything else found outside the scope of the investigation is considered “Fruits of the poisonous tree,” and a judge would throw this evidence out of court.
Just guessing, but I’d say easily half the classified top-secret documents are no longer actual classified information because they’re too dated and no longer pose any sort of threat. We certainly wouldn’t want to declassify material that still had security implications such as the various special ops our military was engaged in and who was part of the mission, but there’s tons more that just doesn’t matter any longer. It doesn’t matter whether the information is still relevant, only that it contains a classification or not.
President Trump had the authority to declassify documents, but he couldn’t do it on his own, our intelligence community would also have to sign off on it. Democrats lie about this (how unusual) and say that Trump basically did what he pleased with the documents.
As a VP, Biden didn’t have the authority to declassify anything so basically everything they found with a classification cover, was illegal to possess. Unfortunately doing something illegal means nothing to the political elites who get away with breaking the law again and again. The CIA and FBI are constantly saying things like, well, she did break the law (like Hillary), but she didn’t mean to; this isn’t how we’re treated in the private sector. It doesn’t matter whether we didn’t know about a law and broke it, that it was an accident, or our intensions were good, if we do the crime, we do the time. I hope double standards are taken off of life support this year.
Please let this sink in, around 37% of Americans are okay with Biden keeping documents stacked in his garage. These are the people who are dangerous to our country because they don't have the mental acuity to make sound judgements. Begs the question of should they be allowed to vote? Even after all the horrendous things some of these politicians have done, they continue to be reelected. What does that say about their constituents? Scary.
