Even though Bonnie and Clyde were notorious killers, Bonnie was only 4'11" tall and weighed 90 pounds while Clyde was 5'7" tall and only weighed 130 pounds. Part of the reason they weighed so little was due to the fact that it was The Great Depression and because of their running away from the police lifestyles, it was a challenge to slow down to eat meals.
The term "speakeasy," was used back in the days of prohibition to describe places that would sale alcohol. The word is derived from a memoir back in 1844 when a British sailor used the term to describe a place where unlicensed liquor sales were made; meaning, everyone had to speak softly (easy), so no one heard the transactions occurring.
He was born and raised near Tacoma, Washington and he said his family had a morbid sense of humor. He loved music and played the guitar and banjo then when he finished college he went to work in a music store where he found that he was bored out of his mind and started drawing cartoons for the fun of it.
He submitted his cartoons to a small town's newspaper and magazine and they liked his material. He then went to The Seattle Times and they liked his material so much that they gave him a weekly spot in their paper titled: "Nature's Way." To supplement his income during this time he worked for the human society as a cruelty investigator. Wanting to draw cartoons full time he took his works to a larger newspaper: The San Frisco Times, which was owned by a syndicate with newspapers all across the country. They not only wanted his works for their paper, they wanted his cartoons syndicated which really put him on the map. On January 1, 1980, his works were first released and his last cartoon was published 15 years later when he retired at the age of 45. He was burnt out and wanted to travel the world, so he and his wife, who is an anthropologist, began travelling. He became extremely wealthy after he retired as his cartoons have been consolidated into four books and they've sold over 45 million copies. This great cartoonist is Gary Larson and his cartoon series is called: "Far Side." He's definitely a twistedly funny guy. Just when I think the Democratic Party couldn’t sink any lower, they exceed my expectations, this time in reference to the Mueller investigation and Attorney General William Barr.
With numerous serious issues facing our country, Democrats threw them aside and called a Congressional hearing where they demanded that Barr hand over the Mueller report. The problem with this, is that the Attorney General was already going to hand over the report; that’s his job. Then they made it appear that Barr is trying to protect President Trump and is doing something unprecedented by only giving them a redacted report; this is an outright lie. It would be against the law for him to turn over the entire report because of laws protecting innocent peoples’ names that had nothing of substance to give to the investigators and of course to protect CIA sources and methodologies for the acquisition of information. These are national security issues. The fact is, Barr told Democrats during his confirmation hearing that he would turn over the portions of the Mueller report that he was authorized by law, to do. He hid nothing. What he’s doing didn’t come out of the blue. Democrats knew Barr would turn over the report, there was no reason for them to subpoena the DOJ except for misleading their constituents that something nefarious was going on and they were going to get to the bottom of it. They also know the laws preventing Barr from turning over the entire report. I’ve known throughout my political lifetime that politicians can’t be completely trusted, and they’ll lie from time to time for political gain, but the frequency of lies and their blatant disregard for truth, has reached astronomical levels. They don’t even try to be sneaky about it, they just walk up to the podium and lie to the press with reckless abandon. They know they don’t need to worry about it because many of their constituents are like sheep. They hear what they want to hear. They don’t conduct due diligence to see if what their representatives are saying makes common sense and that it’s logical. The bottom line is they lie because they can get away with it, as even the mainstream media won’t call them out as they’re just an extension of their political Party. I’m not a fan of Joe Biden for many reasons as his rhetoric has helped divide our country for decades. His two specialties are in trying to make it appear that Republicans hate both minorities and women; that if Republicans are in power, they’ll put African Americans back in chains and women back into aprons. But, with everything I’ve heard so far as to this scandal, I believe it’s a political hit job. Biden was ahead of everyone in the polls including being more than five times ahead of some of the Democrat’s favorite candidates like Harris and Warren. Biden’s first accuser is tied to the Sander’s campaign.
There are two major problems with what is being pushed about Biden and I think the most important is that as far as I know he’s not made sexual advances towards any of these women. He hasn’t verbally come on to other women. He doesn’t just get “touch feely,” with attractive women, he does the same things regardless of age, gender, race, etc. I’ve seen him kiss men on the cheek and have his hands on their shoulders. It’s clear that it’s not sexual, the evidence is overwhelming. He’s always been a person who connects with people through affection especially since he’s experienced so much loss in his life. The other major problem with what’s happening to him is that some women have gotten so caught up into the “Me Too,” mentality that they’ve lost objectivity. Biden is old school. He doesn’t need to apologize for how he was raised beyond saying that he didn’t know that what he was doing upset some of these women and that he’ll be more careful in the future since apparently the rules have changed. It’s truly this simple but it’s not enough for these women that Biden apologized for making them feel uncomfortable; they want him to apologize for sexually harassing them. This is the danger of the movement. This time it’s Biden, who’s next? The bottom line is I don’t like Biden but that doesn’t mean I want him to be attacked for something that I believe is unjust. Maybe more will come out about his story but for now, it appears other candidates were looking for a way to take out the person who was beating them badly in the polls and he hadn’t even jumped in the race yet. |
