President Obama recently made a comment that our country would be better off going with mandatory voting...he said that it would help level the playing field saying that proof of it is that "They wouldn't want this." Who does he mean by they? I've never seen a more divisive person in my life and considering he's our president I know of nothing more dangerous.
Let's think about his bright plan for a moment. If it's mandatory then how will the federal government know who is supposed to be voting? How will they know who doesn't vote (state's have a difficult time now with voting procedures and tracking)? How will someone get penalized? If they decide to charge someone for not voting how will they get their money? They can't take it from their income tax returns because millions of people don't pay taxes. Will they send them a bill in the mail? What if they don't pay it will we have a new government collections department tracking down payments?
It truly scares me that President Obama goes around saying things like this. I don't care which party you support...he's an idiot.
