Everything Has Turned into Politics

11/28/2021

Let's go back in time to when COVID-19 hit. Do you remember the backlash by the media and democrats, that Trump was racist, when he banned travel to and from China? He blamed the virus on the Chinese and he was correct. He blamed the Wuhan lab and he was correct.

Think about the above and then try to remember how viciously the Left took sides with China not their own country. Trump was trying to save lives in a challenging situation. Was China testing a biological weapon? Dems tried to stop us from finding out the truth about the virus' origins. Fauci of course tried to steer the investigation away from the virus being manufactured. By the way, Trump was right again; it wasn't a lab fluke, it was intentionally developed. It's what China does on a daily basis; they build their military and strategic weapons.

Now we have come full circle and Biden is planning on restricting travel to at least eight African nations because of a new variant. A variant by the way that doctors on the ground there don't believe will be dangerous, more like the flu. Buy anyhow, why isn't the press ripping into Biden for being a racist? In this case, he's specifically targeting mostly blacks. If Trump did this, all hell would break loose and thus the problem we now have in our country. We're being pitted against each other like puppets on a string and it's all based on lies. Are democrats for our country or against it? Is it a case of politics over country to ensure their influence, power, and fortune? Unfortunately, I think that's exactly where they're at.

The truth has become an obstacle to overcome so that lies can run free. Democrats have created an open border for lies. Sad but true. The good news for us is that WOKE will become a YOKE in 2022 and the House and Senate will be run once again, by adults who still believe fossil fuels are a good thing for us at this stage of our country's development.

Politically Incorrect?

11/25/2021

A high school teenager by the name of Chris Conley, lost two front teeth that got caught in a basketball net while he was trying to dunk during a game. He received a $50K settlement from the manufacturer of the net (Lifetime Products).

After digging further into the story, my suspicions were correct, this article was not about a white guy. 😁

Samuel Clemmons (1835 - 1910)

Samuel loved the river and became a river boat captain. As captain, he'd ask his crew to lower a chain or weighted rope, to find out how deep the water was so they wouldn't run aground. As the men called out the depth, when it hit the 12-foot mark, they'd shout "Mark Twain," which was a nautical term in depth sounding.

Samuel liked the name and used it as his pen name since he often wrote controversial articles for papers and it would be easier to dodge people who didn't like his writings. Of course, at the time, he wasn't planning on becoming famous for his writings; it was just something he loved doing.

I read Tom Sawyer so many times when I was a kid that I still have the first few pages somewhat memorized. Of course, Twain never knew me so he didn't know the positive difference he made in my life. He helped turn me on to reading and so did other American authors from the 1800's like Louisa May Alcott (Little Women), Herman Melville (Moby Dick), Jules Verne (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea), Laura Ingalls Wilder (Little House on the Prairie - Book Series), Nathaniel Hawthorne (The Scarlet Letter), etc., all of which contributed to the creation of the fiction genre.

It truly does blow my mind that although we often think that when we leave this life that its' over, our impact is done, but the ripple effects can influence people for centuries. The enjoyment I got from reading various fictional works, completely changed my life.

Quite frankly, one of the easiest ways to determine future success in school children, can be found in reading skills like comprehension scores. Students who like to read and can read well, end up doing better in all classes at school and end up being more financially successful in the real world than other students who struggle with reading.

With the above being said, do EVERYTHING you can to turn your children and grandchildren on to reading. Review your children's school curriculums to find out the level of focus the school puts on the subject. Read with them. Make sure you know what they're reading to ensure the material is right for your child. Not just to check to see if there's any type of WOKE elements to their reading assignments but almost more importantly, just to make sure that it's enjoyable reading for them starting out so they can get addicted to reading. If they start off with a bunch of boring material they'll be turned off to future reading.

Have an awesome "Count Our Many Blessings Day,"! May peace and joy be with you always!

Get Rich

11/25/2021

Did you know?

1) If you want to live the high life, join the federal government not the private sector. Over 500,000 of the government employees make over $100K a year. Lois Lerner, with the IRS, was one of them.

2) Around 37,000 government employees are making more than $200K a year. This is a 52% increase since Biden has taken office and the number making over $300K is up 144%.

3) Federal government employees average 44 days of paid leave including vacations. I didn't get that kind of time off in the private sector. Maybe employees of large corporations do but a majority of us don't work for large companies.

4) The benefits for these employees are much better than what can be found on average in the private sector.

5) Their job security is fantastic. Employees in this sector don't worry about their jobs; they can get away with all kinds of bad behavior, and nothing happens to them as we pretty much see daily in D.C.

Do you remember when taking a government position was supposed to be about service to country? They made less money on average than private sector employees, but the benefits were typically decent and job security was of course great. But somewhere along the way, this shifted and some of the most well-paid jobs, moved to the public sector.

Not only have democrats grown the federal government through the addition of agencies and more personnel, the federal employees across the board are now making close to 30% more than those in the private sector. This is called corruption plain and simple. Pretty easy to get some government employees to do nefarious things to protect their plush lifestyles. This is a truth we sadly experience daily.

The Sock Mystery

11/24/2021

My invention of placing trackers on socks has been turned down by all sock manufacturers. Silly them, they thought that the increased cost of $37 a pair would hamper sales. I disagree. I'd buy one pair, just to solve the mystery.

This does beg the question - Is there a parallel universe where they have sox appearing out of nowhere in their dryers? I've got so many questions for heaven. :)

Can Libs Handle the Truth? No.

11/23/2021

After going through our Thanksgiving purchasing this year, I'd say we spent anywhere from 35% to 40% more. I don't make more than $400,000 a year. I'm not part of the upper 1%. So, why is the Biden Administration hurting not only the middle-class, but now even the poor? Anyone who spends money, is now losing money not only from the increased costs, but as retails go up, so do the taxes. Democrats are in everyone's pockets, I guess liberals just don't get this.

We only had one milk cow on our farm (Bessie), who I got to milk about 5:30 every morning. The reason we only had one milk cow, is that cows are known for their violent gangs. :)
