A little long, but a lot happened today in the Senate Hearing discussing our withdrawal from Afghanistan, so I wanted to cover some of it. Here you go:
Now that the generals, including Milley, are on the hot seat in a Senate Hearing, we’re finding out things that we never knew because although these men had been very careful with their words in the past, to not get Biden in trouble, they were at a crossroad today because to lie could bury their military pensions among other things. I could cover many lies told, but here are some of the major lies the Biden Administration has been telling that were exposed today during testimonies:
Biden was asked if any of his military advisers pushed back on pulling out of Afghanistan when we did? His answer: No. He said that everyone agreed which the generals said today during their testimonies that it wasn’t true. There were some who didn’t want to pull out our troops at all because they felt it still provided the U.S. with a great military advantage, especially the airports. But Biden lied about all of this.
Biden was asked if Al Qaida was still a threat in Afghanistan and Biden said they were eliminated which according to these generals in the Senate Hearing, wasn’t true. They were still concerned about their impact on the ground especially once we left.
Biden said that no one suggested we push the exit date past 8/31 and that was a complete lie. Most of them agreed that they wanted to keep Trump’s strategy of conditional withdrawal. They wanted to keep a minimum of 2,500 people on the ground and have secure access to all applicable airports.
Biden and Psaki originally tried to say that no Americans were left behind, but the generals knew there would be many left because conditions on the ground were deteriorating quickly and they were right. They can try to run from it all they want, but the Biden Administration did leave Americans behind and it will forever be a blemish on his record.
Biden and Psaki both stated that the Taliban was not a concern leading up to 8/31 yet when the Afghan government was overrun, they said (which was a complete opposite of what they originally said), they had expected it all along as if no one would remember what they saw and heard just a few weeks earlier. These three generals today made it very clear that Biden knew for months that the Taliban was on the move but that he was keeping it from the American people.
Biden was asked about what will happen to women in Afghanistan once we pull out, and he said they’ve got tools that he can use to make sure the Taliban does the right things. Do you believe this? I hope not! Without people on the ground, we have no protection for these young girls and women. They were being raped on the very day we were exiting the airports. Schools have already been closed which catered to young girls. Our military had been helping to keep these schools open. I realize we can’t save the world, but this is about the lie that Biden told. Psaki too for that matter.
I’ll leave it at the above. Even with the crazy stuff that went on during the Obama Administration, Biden’s team is outlying them. The lies are coming in so fast and furious now that I don’t have the time to investigate everything I see. They’ve become such great liars that I’m going to have to up my game to try and keep up with them. Scary!
