Nike

9/1/2018

I don't know how much money Nike was planning on making off their commercial campaign with Kaepernick, but they lost close to $4.2 billion dollars in market capital on September 4th over the backlash.

Nike sees Kaepernick as a role model, yet he wore socks that depicted police officers as pigs. It also led to players putting their fists in the air depicting black power. If white athletes were to do something like this showing “white power,” Democrats and the mainstream media would become livid. Would Nike allow one of these athletes to be part of their ad campaign? It’s a terrible double-standard started by Kaepernick and Nike.

Adidas is the number one shoe manufacturing company while Nike is the 19th. I guess that's why they threw a crazy hell Mary with Kaepernick. I'm sick and tired of liberal companies playing in politics instead of focusing on selling their products and/or services. I will never again own a pair of Nike shoes.

By the way, most of Nike's factories are in Asia, including Indonesia, China, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, Philippines, and Malaysia so if we all pitch in and boycott, it will mostly affect children working in countries outside of the U.S.

Funny

9/1/2018

Not to complain, but I think that my parents teaching me things like: "This old man, he played one, He played knick-knack on my thumb; Knick-knack paddywhack, Give a dog a bone, This old man came rolling home," was one of the reasons I wasn't smart enough to get into Harvard.

Democrats/Socialists

9/1/2018

Democrats/Socialists are selling free college tuition, paying off student loans, universal healthcare, etc. Research shows that tax revenues would need to be increased by four times its current.

We can't just tax the rich to get to the needed funds for these "free" things. The rich would need to pay around 90% in taxes, the upper-middle class would need to pay around 65%, and the middle-class would have their taxes increased to around 55%. This is absolutely crazy...our economy would crash because people would lose their discretionary spending. Businesses would fail, and people would lose jobs.

It's so easy to be a Democrat and sell naïve people on utopia but nothing is free. Our economy is booming now because of tax decreases. Democrats want to increase taxes, it's part of their platform but they lie to people about the money coming from the rich. The "rich" can't finance their crazy ideas. If you want your taxes increased vote Democrat, if you don't, vote Republican...it's very simple.

Road Rage

9/1/2018

Road rage homicides are up 500% over the last ten years. Some things to consider:

1) We've all accidentally cut someone off so don't assume someone did it on purpose.

2) Don't honk your horn at someone unless you need their attention (i.e. not moving at a stop sign or at a signal light).

3) Never pull over and get out of your car.

4) If someone approaches your car do not look the person in the eyes, just stare straight ahead.

5) If you see someone driving recklessly (not just one error), call *HP (highway patrol), and let them know what you saw and where you are. Have information on their car if possible (i.e. make, model, license plate number, etc.). I once helped the highway patrol capture a driver under the influence.

6) Do not cut off someone on a motorcycle during a road rage incident because if the driver dies, you will get charged with manslaughter and generally serve at least six years in prison.

7) Do not flip someone off...it is a trigger to violence.

The bottom line is it isn't worth it for us to demonstrate road rage; as a matter of fact, it can be deadly. Many people were killed by a weapon so even if you think you might be able to beat the other driver up, it might not be an even match if they're packing a gun. Many people have unfortunately found this out. Take care and be safe out there!

A Racist Remark?

9/1/2018

Andrew Gillum (R), is running for Florida governor against a Democrat/Socialist who desires to provide Universal Healthcare for all Floridians including illegal aliens. This is what Andrew said about his opponent: “The last thing we need to do is monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state, that’s not going to work, that’s not going to be good for Florida.”

Like me you're probably wondering what's wrong with what he said? The problem is that his opponent is African American, and Democrats and the mainstream media are saying Gillum is a racist even though he's never done or said anything that would demonstrate he was. The words: "Monkeying things up" is what the liberals are focusing on. Of course, what he was saying is that we don't need to mess things up by voting in a socialist candidate.

This is how both Democrats and the liberal media work together. They absolutely do not want a Republican to win the governor's seat in Florida or anywhere else. This is yet another reason why the media is fake news!

It's the Economy Stupid!

9/1/2018

When all is said and done, the most important issue for most people is our economy. We want jobs. We want job security. We want opportunities for promotion. We want a growing retirement account. Isn't it interesting that the number one by far, issue isn't being discussed by Democrats? Why? Because economic indicators (i.e. Dow, GDP, Inflation, Unemployment, etc.), have reached positive record-breaking levels.

The Dems don't want to touch this and instead spend every minute of the day trying to distract people from Trump's economic success. I'm not a fan of Trump's on a personal level because he's probably the worst narcissist I've ever seen, but I strongly support his agenda.

If Democrats take control of the House and/or Senate, our country will move towards socialism. Please Google the latest on Venezuela to get insight into where socialism takes a country.

People aren't generally good at voting during the mid-terms, but I beg of every Republican to get yourself and everyone you know out to vote. Our country's existence as a successful capitalist country, depends on it.

An Amazing Woman

9/1/2018

Nola Ochs was born November 22, 1911 and is an American college graduate. Nothing seems amazing about this—until you learn that she graduated from Fort Hays State University in Kansas on May 14, 2007.

When you put the math together, you will discover that she received her degree at the age of 95, making her a Guinness World Record holder as the world’s oldest college graduate! She graduated alongside her granddaughter, Alexandra Ochs, who was 21 years old at the time. Nola earned a general studies degree with an emphasis in history. Governor Kathleen Sebelius presented her diploma. Nola died on December 9, 2016 at the age of 105.

Face Book's Influence

9/1/2018

Russians posted a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of Face Book's total messages, yet Democrats say it influenced the election. What about the number of conservative voices that have been shut down by Face Book because they support the Democrat Party? They get caught all the time taking messages off their platform all of which happened to be conservatives. They sometimes say it was a mistake with their algorithms but isn't in coincidental that it always negatively affects Republicans?

The bottom line is Face Book has had way more influence on politics than Russia could have ever done or is currently doing. Since it doesn't affect them, Democrats don't care about this blatant abuse of 1st Amendment rights and continue with their deplorable double-standards.

Payphones

9/1/2018

The reason I miss payphones so much is the excitement I used to get in seeing if there was any money left in the coin return.
