Impeached Again

1/13/2021

So without any submitted evidence or witness testimony, Dems moved forward with impeachment. The evidence that was presented on the Republican side included the complete transcript of Trump's speech and he DID NOT say anything to incite violence. Why would he, it would only serve to hurt him, as we're seeing now. Dems don't have answers to these common sense questions. They crazily attempt to make people believe (and some sheep do), that Trump was planning on staging a coup with a few hundred people. I don't know how else to write it, if you believe Trump wanted the Capitol stormed, you're an idiot.

Now the good news if you're a Republican and are looking for some pay back. Once Kamala Harris becomes VP, the Senate can impeach her for inciting violence in 2020. Not only did she cheer the violence on, she helped get donations to get people who committed arson, assaults, looting, robberies, etc., out of jail. Isn't not having people pay for their crimes and being told they're not doing anything wrong, incite violence? Yes! So although there's no proof regarding Trump, both Biden and Harris have unleashed the race card numerous times thus stoking unrest and leading to severe violence. The evidence is all over YouTube. Well, at least for now. Watch it while you can.

If this is how Dems want to play, go after everyone associated with Biden and Harris. The House and Senate wasted four years of time and money, trying to get Trump out of office, they might as well keep all the sad and disgusting hearings going.

Freedom of Speech?

1/13/2021

Even though leaders from the Democratic Party and the mainstream media, have countless Tweets inciting violence, Twitter chose to shut down President Trump. I don't like the shutting down of speech but if they're going to do it, then be fair and balanced. Maxie Waters alone, has told fellow Democrats to chase Republicans out of public places.

Look at what happened to Josh Hawley's wife and baby. Clearly the danger of not having free speech is exactly what we're beginning to see and that is Democrats controlling content and building a matrix. So once again, one of the tech giants shows who they are and why they can't be trusted.

Andy Kaufman (1949 - 1984)

1/13/2021

Andy Kaufman, more than anything else, was an entertainer. He was the kind of guest that scared night show hosts to death because there was no telling what Andy would do. One thing is for sure, he'd often play his character and not himself, while being interviewed.

Most people thought Andy was foreign, when in fact, he grew up in New York City. He took his stand-up comic character (Latka Gravas), to the television show: "Taxi," and he became a huge hit. He wasn't exactly a cast favorite because he'd come and go as he pleased and he always stayed in character which everyone else thought was weird. In other words, if he were at a dinner party, he didn't speak like Andy, he spoke in his foreign accent as Latka. Tony Danza said he wanted to beat Andy up, but that he could never provoke him enough for a physical confrontation.

Of course Andy was always pushing the limits, and began wrestling women. He called himself: "The Inter-Gender Wrestling Champion of the World." He'd intentionally make comments to upset women and make his act more provocative. He was one of the best Elvis Impersonators I've ever seen.

In 1984, he began losing weight and was eventually diagnosed with lung cancer that ended up spreading to Andy's brain. He was just 35 years old when he passed away. He had an ex-wife and one child, a daughter, Maria.

You Want to Know What's Really Scary?

1/13/2021

It's easy to get sidetracked with all the craziness going down and there's plenty to be very concerned about. But in my opinion, what matters most, is being overlooked. The election being what it is, means more than half of voters believe in a far-left agenda (i.e. free healthcare for illegal immigrants, the end of private health insurance, tear down border walls because they're immoral and racist, a Green New Deal that is at the very least, SEVEN times larger than our total federal budget, increasing business taxes, etc.).

I never thought that so many of my fellow citizens liked socialism. This isn't the country I grew up in. So this to me is the scariest reality we face.

The Great Uniters

1/13/2021

I hope you were able to watch both Biden's and Harris' speeches recently, to see just how committed they are to unity. They attacked the ideology of at least 75 million people. In one breath they were trashing Trump about dividing our country and then in the next breath bringing up race in reference to how the Capitol police handled the riot. Why do this? Things were bad enough and they used the situation to stoke the fire of racism along with everything else.

Do you see what's happening? Dems don't even wait the next day or days later to reverse on a position, they do it in the same speech. Biden and ESPECIALLY Harris, are not uniters. She's never been; I feel like Biden has tried at different points of his "illustrious," (tongue in cheek), career to work with the other side. I should add, when he had to to play the numbers game.

If you're a liberal and hope that things will be more civilized, you are sorely mistaken. Watch the video clips done yesterday, by our new leaders, and maybe you'll start to understand what you just did to our nation, but more importantly, to the young people who naturally are taking for granted that the U.S. will always be there for them when now we know it won't.

Wise Words From a Combat Veteran

1/7/2021

The brilliant writing below is from Nick Freitas, a conservative from Virginia (and Green Beret).

"I have had a lot of people ask me what I think of the events that took place yesterday at the capitol. My response is going to be a long one. If you don't care what my thoughts are, I understand, if you do, then I would ask you to read my whole post, not just the parts you may or may not agree with. Believe it or not, I don't particularly like politics, and yesterday provides one more example of why.

Ultimately, I did not get involved in politics to promote a particular party or a particular candidate, but rather to promote a view of how government should, and should not, interact in our lives. A critical part of that view is the attempt to convince people that while government has a place in society, it isn't society itself.

Another critical component is the understanding that while individuals tend to solve problems by genuine cooperation and compromise, government "solves" problems through force and coercion. Individuals ask you to do things, government tells you to do things. When people have become convinced that government is the primary way we address problems or adjudicated differences, force tends to follow, whether it be through the law, or through the individual actions of people convinced of this way of thinking.

For months, we have watched as politicians, the media, academia, and other political and cultural institutions have either been silent or given approval to rioting, destruction of private property and the harming of innocent people under the auspices of achieving “justice”. Some of those same politicians, reporters and professors are now shocked when another group of people have decided that their concerns over injustice warrant a similar response.

You cannot act in such a way that diminishes people’s faith in processes and institutions and then act surprised when people turn on those processes and institutions. If you claim that the system is irrevocably rigged, racist, sexist, bigoted, you do not get to then turn around and appeal to those processes and institutions for the peaceful adjudication of problems. And yet that is exactly what many in positions of influence have done. Simultaneously condemning such institutions as corrupt when it suits their purpose, and then holding them up as models to be followed when they approve of the outcomes.

I don’t pretend to know or fully understand the feelings or motivations of those who violate long held principles to effect political or societal change. I do know, from having served overseas, that it seldom produces the outcomes people claim to desire.

I would no more have stormed the capitol yesterday than I would have thrown a brick through a window in Richmond or Seattle. But I will not feign surprise when one group of people adopts the tactics of another group when they perceive them to be effective.
What angers me the most, is that the actions of those who engage in such tactics, reinforces that a large component of the population have decided that violence is the best way to adjudicate problems. This will inevitably lead to both sides engaging in greater political tribalism and cults of personality. The end result being more government control and intervention at the expense of individual liberty and freedom.
Many of our citizens, regardless of party, appear to have decided that control of the government, in order to force other people to do what they want, is the primary goal of political engagement. If this is true, then no matter which side wins, my whole reason for engaging in the political process loses.

To those on the left, I encourage them to consider the consequences of convincing millions of otherwise peaceful people that force and coercion, whether instituted by a rioter or by a government, is an appropriate way to achieve justice, peace, and prosperity.

To those on the right, if we truly believe in the values we espouse, then we had better get our act together on the cultural front. Had we not conceded the debate in education, the arts, entertainment, and other areas of life, so critical to making an argument for what we believe, do you really think we would be in the position we now find ourselves? Although we know election fraud exists, If we really believe that election fraud is the ONLY way to explain the latest results, I would argue that we are deluding ourselves. The difficult work of building and maintaining a free society includes the ballot box, but it begins in the home and our communities.

I fully recognize that this response is likely to anger many on both sides of the debate. The reason I offer it is because I believe it to be true. My responsibility as a Christian, as a citizen and as a representative should always be to fight for the truth, as opposed to that which may be politically convenient for the moment. I will continue to do so and accept the corresponding consequences.

The Phone Call

1/4/2021

Democrats and the mainstream media are in an uproar over President Trump talking to Georgia's Secretary of State, over election results. They make it sound like Trump told him to overturn the election, when he didn't. The Secretary has no authority to overturn election results but he could push for further investigations and that is ALL Trump asked for in the finally released, full taped conversation. Funny that the media didn't mention that Trump was asking for the truth to be found.

Of course this is all about gaining control of the Senate. They're hoping the attacks on Trump will negatively impact the Republicans running for Senate in the state of Georgia. They are taking 30 seconds of an hour-long phone call, and strategically leaving the rest out. Trump went over the problems his team said were found and he "asked," he didn't demand, that the Secretary of State dig into the problems before announcing a final decision. He did not ask him to manufacture votes, he was completely clear during the call that he thought there were by far enough legal votes to put him ahead of Biden. Let me repeat, legal votes. It's the Dems who manufacture votes.

Once again, "news," organizations are lying. It blows my mind that some people still believe the mainstream media. By its very definition, people are "insane," to think they can trust the news. Maggie and I have gotten to the point where we tape the evening news and then skip the first ten minutes because we know it will be all anti-Trump and anti-Republican spin. It's deplorable!

The Bitter Truth

1/4/2021

I can't figure out why so many African American professional athletes act like they've been so wronged by the white community. I've not done anything to them but have done something for them and that is watch their sporting events, buy merchandise, etc. It is the white community who has made them millionaires. Think about it, if you go to a game, thousands of white people are wearing jerseys of black athletes; are they racists? It begs the question: "Do we want to do business with people who not only think terribly of us but also says it out loud?"

They act like we need them so they have leverage, but they don't. They aren't critical to our lives. They aren't first responders. They're paid outrageous amounts of money for being able to catch a football. Think about that. Teachers impact the success of our country and yet make pennies compared to these professional athletes. Who do we need more? Who's more valuable, a professional athlete or a nurse or doctor?

I like sports but have been weening off the NFL. I've already dumped the NBA. I don't see the same attitudes in most of MLB, so I'll continue to watch until they too become social justice warriors. I'm just tired of the politics.

Black athletes make up a high majority of players, yet this wasn't enough. They wanted more black coaches. Why? Sounds kind of racist to me that they believe that a person's color would make them a better coach. It hasn't, as we've seen. Their rationale is that if they make up 80% of the players, then they should make up 80% of the coaching staffs. The biggest problem with their mentality is that if we truly went by it, then they should only make up around 15% of players as that would be representative of our society. They are getting way more that their fair share according to their own rules.

As with anything, there's good and bad with professional athletes. Some feel blessed with the opportunities they've been given, while for others it will never, I repeat never, be enough. They will always have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to white people even though we've done absolutely nothing to them, only for them.

I've had enough. My hope is that the NBA and NFL will continue to decline in popularity. That ticket prices and ad revenues come crashing down along with player salaries. Maybe then, the players will count their blessings and respect those who allow them the opportunity to make money just because they're great athletes. The fact is, they need us, we don't need them.

Be a Patriot!

1/4/2021

Where we used to live, there was a very nice retirement facility. Maggie and I found out that they were changing their name for political purposes. Why? Because it was called: Plantation Estates. That's right, the word "plantation," was offensive to some.

This is going on everywhere. Are we going to sit back? Maybe it's time we become activists? We don't need to loot and riot, but maybe we need to take time out of our schedules to show up. To possibly coordinate some marches, sit-ins, etc. I hate that it's come to this, but someone needs to look out for our children and grandchildren. It's immoral for us to hand over this mess, which includes debt that is through the roof, without doing what we can, whenever we can. Let's make being a Patriot, cool again!

Duck Duck Go

1/4/2021

Hopefully everyone is aware that companies like FaceBook, Google, Instagram, etc., used their platforms to influence the presidential election. With this in mind, if you'd like to look at alternatives, use search engines like Bing or DuckDuckGo, instead of Google searches. The best in my opinion, is the Duck engine because the searches come back more fair and balanced. In other words, if you searched for: "Election fraud," Google will mostly provide liberal sources (i.e. Huffington Post, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, etc.). This is one of the ways that they promote liberal propaganda. They control what we see and what we don't see. If you use duckduckgo.com, you'll get information from a variety of sources.

There's an alternative to Twitter (which I don't use), as well called Parler, but I don't know enough about it to make any recommendations. The bottom line is anything we can do to negatively impact these tech goliaths, the better off conservatives will be in this country.
