June Topics

6/1/2018

I hope everyone has had an awesome month! It’s hard to believe that summer vacation for kids has already started which means parents are already tired of hearing the phrases: “I’m bored, “There’s nothing to eat,” “There’s no one to play with!” Ah, the joys of parenting!

There are over 70 post this month with the more serious ones being about: 1) The New York Times recants yet again. 2) They’re animals. 3) Rising gas prices. 4) Raising snowflakes. 5) Pulling out of the Iran Nuclear Deal. 6) A serious double standard.  7) Chuck Schumer. 8) Why Mexico doesn’t help us with our immigration problems. 9) Increasing Amazon’s shipping charges. 10) The Mueller Probe anniversary.

On the lighter side this month I have: 1) How they figured out the world was round. 2)  A sea story. 3) The deadliest battle. 4) The Bible regarding immigration. 5) The oldest NFL quarterback there ever was. 6) The first soft drink. 7) Ernest Hemmingway. 8) Who invented the Piggy Bank. 9) When were drums invented? 10) The hidden history of Egypt.

A reminder that all you must do is copy and paste any of the articles to an email or Face Book to share with others. Thanks for visiting my site and I hope you have a fantastic month!

Recanting Again

6/1/2018

The New York Times is at it again and got caught downplaying the size of Trump's crowd at his event in Nashville. Their  reporter, Julie Davis, took to Twitter and addressed the correction. "President @realDonaldTrump is correct about his crowd last night," Davis tweeted. "My estimate was way off (five times off as she said only a thousand people were there), and we have corrected our story to reflect the fire marshal's estimate of 5,500 people. When we get it wrong, we say so."

How come they ALWAYS conveniently err against President Trump? Why have they never had to recant a positive story about him? Well, mostly because they rarely print anything positive. They even tried to make it look like President Trump's meeting with Kim Jung Un is a terrible thing because it would legitimatize his dictatorship. That's crazy! It's legitimatizing his nuclear weapons program...missiles by the way that would be pointed at the U.S. They seem to conveniently forget that President Clinton tried hard to set up meetings with Kim Jung Un’s father. If it was okay for him to meet with a dictator, then why isn’t it okay for Trump? Just another severe double-standard by the Democrat Party.

The bottom line is the New York Times is printing way too many retractions to any longer be called a "legitimate" news organization.

Why Do Liberals Get so Angry?

6/1/2018

Someone asked me once why I thought liberals get so angry when they debate various topics and I told him that the answer is simple...it's only natural that they would get angry and not keep their composure when their debate strategy is emotion over logic.

The Earth is Round

6/1/2018

Four observations that provided insight into the fact the earth was round:  1) If it was flat then they'd be able to see an entire ship coming towards them but instead they saw the top of the ships first (masts), before they saw the hull. 2) In watching an eclipse, they noticed that the earth was casting a shadow that was round. 3) When the telescope was invented it clearly showed the planets and moons as being round so there was no reason to believe the earth wasn't too. 4) Magellan (not Columbus), sailed all the way around the world going only west, thereby proving the world was round since he didn't fall of the map so to speak.

It took philosophers to mostly get on board with the "Earth is Round Theory" until around 700 A.D. even though Aristotle came up with the idea about a 1,000 years earlier. What’s wild is there’s a Bible verse (Isaiah 40:22), that was written around 2,500 years ago that told us the earth was round.

Hoping for the Worst

6/1/2018

Democrats are fuming as President Trump has once again helped free a hostage, this time from Venezuela. Keep in mind they don't want America to be great again because President Trump (and Republicans), would get the credit. They want terrible things for us including a crashing economy all for political reasons and they'll do whatever they can to make this happen.

I find this both scary and sad as both parties pretty much do the same thing...Republicans certainly didn't wish for good things for President Obama. We need to hope and pray for good things regardless of who's in office.

The Animals

6/1/2018

Democrats and the mainstream media are at it again stating that President Trump called illegal immigrants "animals." The story was first published by the AP then the major media picked up on it and ran with severe anti-Trump stories about him hating immigrants. The problem? He didn't call illegal immigrants "animals" he called MS-13 gang members animals. The transcript was released, and the AP realized they messed up, so they took their story off the news feed.

Too late as the usual suspects like the New York Times and Washington Post already jumped on the story and CNN and MSNBC had guests trashing Trump over the incident. All any of them had to do was wait for the transcript before running the story but they're like rabid animals when it comes to an anti-Trump story. To their credit, some of them have clarified his remarks, but they already lit the fire with their crazy liberal base of readers and viewers. They can't un-ring the bell.

The Color Black?

6/1/2018

Black is the absence of color, or more specifically the complete absorption of light. There is no combination of colors that can create black. To approximate black in painting, some use equal parts of the 3 primary colors - red, yellow and blue; however, it is more brown than black. The more layers you paint, the darker the paint becomes. Now you know.

A Sea Story

6/1/2018

One of the best Navy sea stories: On September 22, 1840, Captain Brighton of the whaling ship Hope claimed to have happened upon a strange sight—a ship frozen in the ice of the Drake Passage near Antarctica. Boarding the ship, Captain Brighton found that the crew had died some years before, but their bodies had been perfectly preserved by the frigid temperatures of the Antarctic sea. They were frozen solid—some in their hammocks as if asleep. The captain of the Jenny was sitting at his desk in front of his log book, his pen still in his hand. The last entry read: “No food for 71 days. I am the only one left alive.” According to the date, the schooner Jenny had been floating among the icebergs for thirteen years.
