President Trump is trying to put the USPS in the black by pushing for higher package rates (around $1.46 per package), for Amazon customers. A few problems with this, punishing a company's success (Amazon), isn't a capitalist move. If rates are going to be changed then they need to be across the board for all internet shipping.
Second, we're the ones who will be footing the bill when it comes to any increased shipping charges so some of the money that we made off lowering income taxes will be going towards paying for shipping; that is if you use Amazon...which I do.
The extra money we pay we’ll be sent to pretty much another government agency (USPS), that doesn't know how to run a business operation as they've operated in the red for years. For some reason the U.S. Postal Service can't get it together, so Trump wants us to pull them out. I'm up for most of Trump's agenda but not this one.
