Although I can’t say the press would’ve covered it if Hillary were elected President, one of her close friends and White House Advisor (Uma Abideen), would’ve been known to have transferred classified material onto the unclassified computer of a man who is a dangerous, registered, sex offender.
Let’s face it, if it were an average Federal Government employee with a security clearance and he or she would’ve emailed and downloaded classified documents to their spouses computer who didn’t have the security clearance and authorized “Need to know,” they would’ve been arrested. Uma wasn’t. She said she didn’t realize what she was doing was wrong it was just a matter of expedience to transfer the classified material to her husband’s computer at home via email and thumb drives and use it as her work station.
If it were you or me who would’ve done this, ignorance of the law would be no excuse and we’re talking about national security not some misdemeanor. Not only wasn’t she held accountable for this act she also pleaded the 5th to questions regarding Hillary’s handling of classified material. I don’t think our nation’s security means as much to her as her personal ambition and this is both scary and dangerous. Just how safe would she have been as Clinton’s senior aide/advisor?
Uma stayed in her marriage with Anthony even after he was caught sending pictures of his genitalia to different women and being kicked out of public office. It wasn’t until this last issue with the 15-year old and Anthony being convicted, that Uma finally filed for divorce.
You might think this is a personal issue between her and her husband but when you become a public servant with national security clearance, you turn your personal life into a public life because clearly Anthony could’ve been compromised which means national security could’ve been compromised.
This is a no-brainer and for any Democrat to not acknowledge this fact is a matter of character because I promise you if the roles were reversed and something like this happened to someone in the Republican Party, they would be like a dog with a bone and wouldn’t stop until all Republicans involved were buried.
What happened to that young girl upsets me beyond what I can communicate but what makes it even worse is that he might only get 20 months in prison for his crime versus the 10 year sentence that was originally on the table. The reason he’s going to get a reduced sentence is that he made a plea deal. Think about this, why would a prosecutor have to offer a deal? They had him. There was absolutely no question as to his guilt because the electronic trail was cut and dry.
A deal means you get something for something; in legal terms, a Quid Pro Quo. What did they get? How many times have deals been made for people in the political system and we don’t end up with a clue what the deal was about?
I don’t know if you’ve noticed but people with influence have an extremely high rate of getting plea deals. If an average citizen was caught doing what Anthony did to that little girl, especially considering his previous legal issues, he wouldn’t have received any kind of deal.
There’s plenty of proof that the laws of the land are far more lenient for politicians. They protect each other. If they come down hard on one of their own it means when and if their transgressions were found out that they would be treated harshly. They love their influential lifestyles and once again like a dog with a bone, don’t want to give it up under any circumstances.
I’ll leave you with this, if Anthony Weiner would’ve done this to your daughter, how would you feel about his plea deal? Maybe it’s time we as non-politicians start our own equality movement. Maybe it’s time we rise up. Maybe if 100 million voters (Democrats and Republicans), who don’t get preferential treatment in life, marched on D.C., changes would be made.
I’ve figured out by studying politics for decades that one of the major motivating factors in creating positive change in Washington is to make them fear losing their influence and power. The last thing they want is educated, engaged, and enraged, citizens.
