Bernie just got it handed to him in a CNN debate regarding the new tax bill that passed. His idea of going after the 1% was completely shot down as Ted Cruz provided statistics that showed even if all these people had all their wealth taken from them, not just the tax revenues they’ve been paying, that it would only pay for around 8% of what liberals like Bernie and Hillary were saying about spending tax revenues for more entitlements.
Have you noticed that liberals constantly go after the top 1% when talking about tax reform but never provide facts about it? Wouldn’t it be nice knowing exactly how much tax revenue going after the top 1% would bring? Trying to get Democrats or even the mainstream media to commit to who falls into the 1% or how much additional tax revenue it would provide, is like pulling teeth. The fact is their true goal is to pitch one economic group against another for political points and not truly solve our problems of meeting our budget needs and paying down our debt.
Then there was the question about how poor people from other countries increase wages and increase the number of jobs in our country? Liberals always fumble all over this question. Have you ever heard a legitimate answer to this question? There’s no answer that supports their narrative.
The bottom line is it was a terrible day for Bernie as both Senator Ted Cruz and Tim Scott wore his socialist mentality out and I loved every minute of it.
