With thousands of children being brought to the border, not in an effort in most cases to be processed, but instead to attempt illegal entry, three have died from illness. Shockingly to me, The New York Times wrote a very responsible article about the incidents but most of the mainstream media and Democrats, are blaming Trump's border patrol policies.
First, it's not Trump's border patrol polices, it's the Congress' border policies; absolutely nothing Trump has done has led to any of these deaths. HLS has been asking for more money from Congress to process immigrants and better patrol the border, but Democrats have fought it. But as usual, they want to blame everything on Trump.
Then there's the fact that the children's parents were told to stay away so it's not our fault that they're here. They took their children over rough terrain with limited food and water instead of seeking asylum in Mexico. But more importantly, thousands of U.S. children die in in the U.S. every year; some who have been murdered by their parents, so where should our focus be?
Democrats and the mainstream media are doing what they always do and try to direct everyone's attention away from where the real problems are and attempt to politicize every single issue especially at the border when children are involved. We have thousands of children living in poverty, thousands being abused, thousands dying, and DSS and law enforcement are overwhelmed trying to protect them.
But these horrific events aren't discussed by Democrats or the mainstream media because they can’t tie them to President Trump. If they really cared about children, they’d focus their efforts towards the thousands of suffering children in our country. It’s absolutely absurd where networks like CNN and MSNBC, and print media like The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, etc., spend their attention. They have a great opportunity to help our country, but they choose to push political agendas versus real objective and worthwhile news. It’s both frustrating and sad.
