Brandon wanted to be like his father so he enhanced his martial arts skills and took acting lessons. It was when he was 28 years old that he starred in a movie that became a cult classic called: "The Crow." During filming he was accidentally shot by a live bullet (the prop gun had a real bullet in it), and died at the hospital from internal bleeding.
With only eight days left of production, unfinished scenes that were to feature Brandon were dealt with by rewriting the script, using a stunt double, and digital special effects. He had a fiancé at the time of his death.
