What concerns? They should be more worried about the flu or the chances of lighting striking and killing one of the children than any of the variants thus far. Keep in mind while reading this, that I know there are great teachers in Chicago who not only want to be teaching in their classrooms, but also don't agree with the stance their Union is taking in throwing out research which doesn't agree with them.
It's time to do what was done to the Air Traffic Controller's Union when they walked off their jobs for a strike and grounded innocent passengers in 1981. An angry President Reagan, after giving the workers 48 hours to get back to work, fired 11,359 air-traffic controllers who had not returned to work. And to send an even bigger message which these workers weren't expecting, Reagan declared a lifetime ban on the rehiring of these strikers by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). They were given the boot and their jobs were replaced with people who were looking forward to having gainful employment.
The Teacher's Union doesn't care about science. They keep alluding to it, but nothing supports their stance, and everyone knows this and yet allows them to push our children and parents around. We already know that the children will be worse off by not being in school. There's plenty of data to support this. Teachers don't have the right to collect pay when they refuse to work. They weren't hired for on-line learning.
It's time to hand out pink slips after giving them one warning to get back to work in their classrooms. Set a deadline, and then stick to it. No further negotiations because as we've seen, it's never enough for them. Some of them certainly aren't thrilled to have to go back to work because as we've seen, they've had a lot of fun travelling around and enjoying life. If they were truly concerned, wouldn't they stay locked up at home instead of running around doing errands, eating out, etc.? The only thing that's changed in their day in the life, is that they don't have to go into work. Do they truly care about their students? I find it hard to believe that some of them do.
Many of these teachers strongly supported and even taught, Critical Race Theory, so it's probably best that these out of touch teachers lose their jobs anyway for the protection of our children and our country. Transitioning new teachers in won't be as difficult as some might think. It would be a problem if things weren't already in a state of disarray, so now would be a great time to evaluate whether our public school system is preparing our children for the real world; I'm pretty sure what we'll find, and it isn't pretty.
Notice the picture below with teachers holding signs regarding the rich need to pay their fair share? Does this have anything to do with their jobs? No. And by the way, 98% of the money they collect for political contributions goes to the Democratic Party. No wonder Dems love these people.
