Let me give you a perfect example of what's going on with Democratic leadership. Sen. Chuck Schumer had a press conference demonizing the Trump Administration for authorizing 100,000 National Guard Troops to round up illegal immigrants; something he said he got from the A.P.
The problem? It isn't true. The Pentagon and Homeland Security shut down what Schumer and the AP said. The AP doesn't have proof of the claim; they were asked for documentation proving it and they didn't have it. What the AP said happened is that they asked the question as to whether or not National Guard Troops would be used to round up illegals and they just "assumed" it was true when no one got back to them. Wow, that's disgusting!
Schumer and the AP have no credibility nor does any of the mainstream media that ran with the AP story in their papers acting like it was huge news when the story wasn’t vetted. Schumer found out immediately that he messed up but didn’t say a word about it. Here he makes the comment in a press conference trying to stir up liberals yet doesn’t retract it for unity sake. There’s no doubt he doesn’t have the best interests of our country in mind, just politics.
On a side note, I don't mind one bit if they engage the National Guard to assist with illegal immigration especially on the border.
