Then on Monday, when Jean-Piere led her first press conference, she started off by reminding everyone that she was breaking a glass ceiling by being the first black, lesbian, at the podium; things that quite frankly I don't care about, but I do care that she's talented enough to do her job. I care about her being more transparent than Psaki.
Unfortunately, I didn't get my wish. Out of the several press secretaries I've seen over the years, Jean-Piere has been the worse. It's like putting a seventh grader on the podium and watching the youngster crash and burn because she's so far over her head. She couldn't keep her eyes off of her notes, so she just read things pretty much the whole time. I wasn't a fan of Psaki's, but she was a pro at what she did. She had outstanding credentials due to basically doing a similar job before for the State Department. Jean-Piere didn't have a good resume for the job. Well at least beyond her skin color and sexual orientation.
She didn't even try to answer some questions and instead pivoted to material that had absolutely nothing to do with the question at hand. Even some of the reporters were cringing at watching her drown especially when Peter Doocy asked her how raising taxes on corporations will reduce inflation for families across the country. She flamed out over this question and had absolutely nothing as a legitimate response. It was horrific to watch.
I guess it doesn't matter that we have one of, or possibly the worst, press secretaries in history, as long as we now have a black, lesbian, in the position. Welcome to liberal ideology, an ideology that would make the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ashamed and I find this very sad.
