My parents telling me what I should do came out as clear as the words from any adult in a Charlie Brown movie. I've never read a book on parenting because Maggie and I couldn't have any children due to her spine problems, but it's got to be one of the most difficult things trying to convey messages so important about things like your child's safety and the importance of a good education to a teenager who just can't seem to allow the message to get through. And it's not like they're stupid, it's just that common sense and logic aren't quite developed until someone reaches the age of 25 or a bit later. Wouldn't it be great if it kicked in at the age of 13? 😉
Here's a shout out to all parents who have successfully gotten their children through the teenage years without committing Hari Kari. Believe me, you are heroes to me.
