1) It's very hard to keep up with all the streaming channels when it comes to billing. If you use on-line bill paying, then it's not that hard, but getting bills from various streaming agencies so you can watch the shows you want, is a hassle to keep up with.
2) This is my main reason, and that is, if you lose your wi-fi for some reason, you're out of luck. With cable, you're still hardwired in, so you'll still be able to keep up with what's happening in the news, watch your favorite television shows, etc., without missing a beat.
Like I wrote in the beginning of this post, it's not a one size fits all. I don't think going with streaming only at this juncture is worth it. But you know best.
When it comes to satellite dishes, I'm not a huge fan because I live in an area with a lot of tropical storms. Anyplace that has a lot of storm fronts moving through, might be a little erratic when it comes to television connections. Now if I lived someplace like Arizona or Nevada, I'd go with satellite in a heartbeat. Clear, dry skies, creates a beautiful connection. But, keep in mind, China is working on satellite lasers that would knock out our communication satellites. Just something to think about. 😁
