I’ve seen way more political activity from Hispanics beginning last year. There have been many protests including where they were blocking the streets. The fact is they don’t have a Constitutional right to make other people suffer from being stalled in traffic but the police are being told to stand down and not do their jobs. How many of these people who are stuck in traffic due to the protesters are parents trying to pick their children up from school? How many needed to get home to take care of an elderly parent or grandparent? How many were minimum wage workers who only get paid if they’re on the job? They do not have the Constitution right to disrupt these people’s lives.
What I don’t understand is why illegal immigrants think they have a voice in changing U.S. policies? I’ve often heard liberals bring up the 14th Amendment and saying that illegals have “Equal Protection” but the truth is it applies to “non-citizens” not people living here illegally. Illegal immigrants are supposed to be deported so their only rights are found in the deportation process which includes humane treatment in our legal system such as food and shelter as they’re transitioned back to their home countries.
We have millions of non-citizens living here “legally” for a variety of reasons including college and work and some of them are working their way towards citizenship. These people are covered under the 14th Amendment but the words “illegal immigrants” isn’t in the 14th Amendment; a little something Democrats like to leave out.
Think about what these people living here illegally are trying to do in influencing immigration policies and soliciting for more benefits. Why not allow all countries who want to (Russia for example), influence U.S. policies through protests? This way they wouldn’t need to worry about hacking our computer systems. Would they have the right to stop traffic and break windows like some of these Hispanic protesters are doing? No, because it would be ludicrous.
Can you think of another country that would allow something like this? It’s quite simple, if you’re here illegally, you’re breaking the law and don’t have any right to attempt to change the Constitution of the United States of America.
