Do Police Not Care About Solving Crimes?

9/1/2017

One of the points BLM activists bring up is that crimes in the African American community are rarely solved because the police don’t care. I heard an African American police chief talk about this issue and he said it is so wrong to accuse the police of not caring because in their hearts and minds they’d love to solve every crime; it’s an innate desire of most police officers.

He then went on to explain why they have such a difficult time policing African American communities.  He said the number one obstacle to solving crimes is that most of the citizens refuse to talk. Some people are afraid to talk because they could be hurt by fellow neighbors, some won’t talk because they’re members of gangs, some won’t talk because they don’t want to have a reputation of being a nark because it’s dangerous, etc. The police chief said it was a cultural problem in the black community.

Once again the African American community is pointing its finger in the wrong direction. Many police officers in these communities are African American so why in the world wouldn’t they want to solve crimes? The police aren’t racists they are more than ready to solve more crimes but they can’t do it alone.

Changing their community culture isn’t realistic but at the very least they could be honest with themselves and quit blaming the police for something they aren’t guilty of doing or not doing. This is the problem when you have a victim mentality, you always look for anything and anyone to blame for your problems versus taking ownership for your part which is the first step in creating positive change.

This is just one of many reasons why the Democrat Party is so bad for African Americans because instead of being a true partner and pointing out the truth, they placate and mislead them into thinking they have no control over their lives unless they influence the behaviors and thoughts of white people. Needless to say, Democrats do more harm than good for  African Americans.
