By the way, it was like pulling teeth trying to get accurate information on how much we owe Russia, so I found some information from two years ago and we owed them around $107 billion. We've also allowed them to buy up a lot of U.S. commercial real estate. Of course Japan owns a lot of real estate in Hawaii and on our west coast, so I guess our leaders don't care if other countries do a land grab.
Because of their borrow and spend mindset, they get themselves into some difficult situations, such as us not having as much leverage as we need in dealing with China. They own us. And the thing is, politicians in both parties don’t want us to pay attention to our debt. They certainly don’t want us to know how much money we owe China because it’s embarrassing. It makes us appear weak.
I’ve known for decades that our problems were mostly with China and Russia so surely the federal government knew as well and shouldn’t have given our enemy a seat at the table. Could you play hardball with someone who you owed money? Of course not! This is the situation that our representatives have created and it’s going to hurt when these other countries start calling in our debt and not lending us any more money because we’re a risky investment.
One last thing. I was watching a Senate Hearing and they were going over some Build Back Better (BBB) programs and the Biden representative was asked if we’d have to borrow money to implement what democrats want to do, and after some hemming and hawing, he admitted that yes, these programs are not doable without borrowing money. Do you see how out of control some of them have become? They are dangerous to our Republic. They are the problem, and we certainly know that they have no credible solutions.
