Think about this, how in the world could the federal government make sure that everyone is being paid fairly? In my previous company we had four marketing analysts, two men and two women. Is the federal government going to come in and check out each of their salaries? How would they know if someone makes more money because of their unique skill sets in the department? They’re definitely paid differently based on their time with the company.
Speaking of time, how much time would the federal government need to spend with us to figure everything out? Is the federal government going to keep up with pay raises in our department and why we gave those raises? How long would it take to audit all companies across the U.S.? What the democrats are doing is so obvious and so deplorable.
We know it can’t be done and so do democrats but they don’t care because passing the legislation wasn’t anything they expected; it was just a weapon against republicans that’s all. Keep in mind a woman can already sue her company if she feels she’s being taken advantage of. This is when an investigation can take place but these situations are isolated not something that we need the federal government to create a whole new government agency for. Just how big of an agency would it take to monitor pay across the country? Women can find justice so what’s the Equal Pay Act about besides divisive politics as usual.
