Either some liberals don't get it (which is possible), or they attempt to lie about why we have the 2nd Amendment. Our forefathers had one major issue in mind when they wrote it. They saw how hard it was to get their hands on weapons and basically the British (some good, some bad), did what they wanted to the colonists because they couldn't protect themselves. They did not want to be in this position again. If you read the numerous documents including personal letters of those writing the Constitution, it was very apparent that these tough guys were pretty much afraid of one thing, a corrupt government. So many of our rights are based on their fears and I thank God for this.
The bottom line is that Democrats absolutely hate why this Amendment exist, because it prevents government from assuming almost all the power. I'd be shocked if you have ever heard any of them addressing the matter of protection from government. The number one reason for the Amendment, and they don't mention it. It's how they roll.
I'm not concerned about someone breaking into my home, but if this happens, I can protect myself. A young girl or woman could protect themselves. What I'm concerned about, and the REAL reason for this Amendment, is federal government control which is getting more and more ridiculous by the day. If I didn't have any weapons, then how could I ever protect my rights?
I think there will be some form of Civil War in our future between conservatives and liberals, if Democrats move forward with some of their legislation such as reparations, changing voting districts, doing away with the electoral college, stacking the Supreme Court, etc. What they want is clear, one political party dominance. They won't have to worry about the desires of half of our country. The Constitution won't be our guide, they'll set all new standards which we've already seen them doing. My gosh, Biden signed 37 Executive Orders and never explained why. Maybe he had good reasons, I doubt it, but I don't know. This shows his lack of respect for half our population as he blatantly, and might I add pompously, disregarded their wishes. Democrats thinking they were just sticking it to Trump, lost their minds (TDS).
