I'd prefer there not be gay pride parades anymore. The reason I say this, is at this point I believe some of the parades are doing more harm than good. I don't like for children to see adults acting like they're doing it doggie style on top of a float. Or wearing S&M outfits. It's almost like some of them are in a race to see who can do the most outrageous sexual stunts on stage. If their goal is truly to be accepted, then they should act appropriately. Basically, tone it down.
But at the end of the day, if I tried to get a permit for a heterosexual parade, a white man parade, etc., it wouldn't be allowed because they'd say it was divisive. Double-standards. I support anyone regardless of their sexual orientation. It's their character which matters to me. So don't waste your time saying I'm homophobic because I'm not. I just disagree with the parades at this point because instead of bringing people together, it's causing division. It's not helping the LGBTQ community's image and I don't want this. Just my opinion.
