Facebook's lawyers responded to him in court and claimed the company's "fact-checks" are merely "opinion" and therefore immune from defamation. What in the world are they talking about?! This is the first I'm hearing that it is only their opinions and not facts. I thought fact-checks are statements of fact. This is very confusing. Has common sense and logic gotten tired of being left out of everything here and decided to leave our country?
Every time Facebook uses their minions to shape narratives, it significantly reduces the content’s distribution. Many of the articles that they do let through, which are impactful and conservative, have a warning that fact-checkers don't agree with the statements made. Of course, they do this to make us question the information to take away the post' impact. Strangely, democrats don't get this same terrible treatment. Enter sarcasm.
The warning label about fact-checking, specifically states they've researched the topic and it is a false claim. There's not a single piece of information shared, where it states that FaceBook is using opinions to pick and choose content. A statement of fact isn't an opinion. Besides FaceBook for obvious reasons, good luck finding anyone who does believe this.
One last thing. FaceBook will have to pay Stossell a boatload of money if they lose the case. If the court doesn’t buy into FaceBook’s new “opinion,” “not facts,” strategy, then in my opinion, they’ve opened themselves up for way more lawsuits. Their protection from liable, which the news media normally has (I don’t know why FaceBook qualifies for this), could be revoked because they’ve shown horrific bias against conservatives. It isn’t a level playing field.
I sure hope Stossel wins because this is what it’s going to take to get organizations like FaceBook, out of politics. To keep them from picking sides which they have done. This is not speculation, it is fact. Please God, stop the madness from the Left. Amen.
