When I first arrived in Charlotte, North Carolina around 20 years ago, it was a wonderful place to live in many ways. The cost of living was good and the area was in a great growth mode.
Along the way, many people moved down from up north with a different ideology. We went from a majority of all political appointments/representatives being Republican to now where mostly Democrat's rule. Our state used to be Red now I never know which way it will go in a presidential election. We have a city council that makes horrendous decisions for its citizens. This has led to many problems in our school system and taxes that are going through the roof (i.e. fuel, property, etc.).
This is what happens when liberals take control. They are so moral with our money. It's very sad when their greatest accomplishment is changing the name of our "downtown," to calling it "uptown." To calling our worse area of town, murder wise, from West Charlotte to Charlotte West because it sounds classier.
Welcome to the Democrat Party. The history books will show that it wasn't China, Iran, or Russia, that brought our country down, it was liberals who didn't believe our country was all that great so they wanted to create a socialist utopia. Along with many other countries like Greece and Venezuela, the U.S. will be a case study in how quickly an economy can crash and burn. It will be so bad that when people talk about the good old days, it will include 2019, before Democrats/Socialists took over our country.
