I don’t put a lot of faith in the scientific community in reference to them accurately knowing the size of the universe but according to them if you were driving a car and going the speed of light (670 million miles per hour), it would take you 30 billion years to go from one end of the universe to the other. If you want to get a closer feel to how fast light travels think about getting in your car and circling the earth 7.5 times in one second. There’s no word in our dictionary to describe this kind of fast.
How can scientists possibly know where the end/edge of the universe is? I don’t think they have that large of a telescope. If it would take 30 billion years to reach the edge of the universe, how would we know we’ve reached it; is there a wall? I was taught there wasn’t an end to the universe which I admit my little mind had a tough time grasping; kind of like if God can do anything, can he create a wall he can’t jump over? This also messes with my mind.
