We’re told by the PC police that it's not good to talk about politics because it might upset someone. The problem is that politics affects every facet of our livelihoods from our jobs (job security), personal freedoms including religion and speech, our national security (please don't think we're safe as can be seen by military maneuvers by both China and Russia along with North Korea's nuclear threat), etc. Our lives literally depend on what's happening with politics in our country.
I hope you've noticed that individual freedoms such as freedom of speech and freedom of religion have taken hits during the Obama Administration. The more we must walk on eggshells, so we don’t offend someone, the more we lose our freedoms. Being told things not to say like yelling: “Fire!” when there isn’t one, is certainly understandable because someone could get physically hurt during a stampede but hurting someone’s feelings is altogether different.
These days many liberals take what someone says and if they don’t like it, they call it hate speech. This is what happens when liberals dictate what is and what isn't politically correct. Even when it comes to the “N” word, it’s not acceptable for whites to use, but is a common word in African American communities. Thousands of rap songs include the “N” word. I find it strange to tell one segment of society that they can’t do something or say something that another segment of society can. It makes freedom of speech confusing. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the word, but am just pointing out the discrepancy.
Mainstream and social media are constantly trying to influence the philosophy of U.S. citizens, and their main objective is to push a more socialists’ agenda; not for evil purposes but it’s their ideology. It’s clearly demonstrated in any election, that most newspapers support the Democrat candidate regardless of the person’s background. Over 90% of the mainstream media supported Hillary and it wouldn’t have been any different if it were another Democrat candidate, it’s just the way it is now.
The bottom line is they don't want us talking politics, they want to shut down conservative ideology. They use terms like hate speech, homophobe, racist, sexist, etc., when they want to silence us because they don’t like what they’re hearing. As we remain silent, they move our country (especially young people), towards a system of government that has shown it can’t survive.
Many liberals support free college tuition, paying off student debt, free national healthcare, and for some strange reason, don't understand that it's not free. In the areas where they try to make it sound like free healthcare is great like in some Nordic countries, citizens there must pay outrageous amounts for products and services such as a Big Mac costing over $5 and gasoline costing more than $6 a gallon. These countries tax their citizens to death so anyone working and paying taxes is getting hammered for “free” healthcare. Very easy to vote for free things when you’re not paying for it. Doing this shows a tremendous lack of character but it is what it is.
Please don’t remain silent. Please don’t worry about ruffling feathers. Please don’t be politically correct because it means we’re allowing liberals to decide what is and what isn’t the correct things to say. Saying something that someone else doesn’t like doesn’t mean it’s hate speech. We need to speak up or lose our country to socialism.
