Most of them are pushing for a tax rate of 70% on people who make a million or more per year stating that by doing this, they can pay for the programs they're promising, but it's a lie and they know it's a lie. I went into a portion of the IRS database that wasn't confidential and found there were around 400,000 people making a million per year. I took their income and used the 70% tax rate and the incremental tax revenues were only around $40 billion a year. This is a lot of money but it's a drop in the bucket in paying for even a single program that they're offering. Student loan debt alone, which Democrats are promising to pay off, is $1.5 trillion dollars which means the money they're going to take from the "elite," will only cover .02% of the costs. Let that number sink in.
I'm going to reiterate that they know the truth regarding the numbers, certainly if I can get my hands on the data, they can too so they're flat out lying about being able to pay for the free programs. Accepting that lying in politics is just the way it is, isn't good enough, we should expect more. Think about it, they're wiling to lie to get votes knowing there's not a chance of getting any of their ideas passed. Would your company keep someone employed who's this deceiving? I hope not. They represent us yet they are pretty much the worst among us...isn't this sad?
