Since the coverage wasn’t fair and balanced here are some things to think about:
1. Comey made it clear that Trump said nothing that would be considered obstruction of justice.
2. He said that no one from the Trump Administration put any kind of pressure on him or any of his staff, in an effort to influence any investigations.
3. Comey said that Trump wasn’t under investigation and said that The New York Times and other news media misled readers about Trump and his Administration. He shot down the front page article by The New York Times where they wrote that members of Trump’s campaign had contact with Russian spies. If you’re looking for a retraction from them it’s not going to happen, but if they do, make sure and look on the last page of their edition where they’d bury it
4. If Comey thought Trump was trying to steer the investigations why didn’t he address it with the FBI or other applicable agencies? He didn’t because Trump wasn’t. If anyone steered an investigation it was Loretta Lynch. Not only did she cause him to change his strategies towards investigating Hillary Clinton, she also told him to not use the word “investigation” when talking about the investigation and instead for him to call it the Hillary Clinton “matter.”
He made it clear that although Lynch said she recused herself from the investigation that she didn’t. I like what James Comey said regarding this: “We’re the FBI, we don’t do ‘matters’ we do investigations.” Of course Democrats say she did nothing wrong yet say President Trump attempted to obstruct justice…their double-standards are incredible.
There’s more to his two-hour testimony I’m just covering some points that I don’t think got their fair share in the mainstream media as they’re focused on finding anything they can to take Trump down. Some Democrats came out demonizing Trump saying they want to call in even more people to testify; they already had the guy who was actually there talking to Trump, who else do they need?
I reiterate, the nation’s number one prosecutor (James Comey), who was actually involved in the conversation, testified that nothing Trump said could lead to a conviction but still Democrats and the mainstream media don’t want to let it go and instead are making comments that Trump’s guilty. I don’t make guarantees often but I guarantee you Trump will not be impeached or prosecuted regarding this issue. The smoking gun isn’t here, Democrats need to move on and start legislating.
I find it funny that the mainstream media and Democrats have gotten behind Comey acting like he was a victim of President Trump yet they were attacking his abilities and character leading up to all this. It’s easy to go to You Tube and find Democrat leadership trashing Comey and then more current footage of them praising him. Lying has become a part of life for these politicians who believe the end justifies the means.
