The former First Lady was speaking at an event and she admonished all women who voted for Trump. She said that they should’ve voted for someone who understood their needs like Hillary.
Over 90% of the time African Americans vote for African American candidates regardless of the political office. Now we have Michelle and other Women’s Rights advocates saying all women should’ve voted for Hillary because she was a woman.
Based on these identity politics, should white people only vote for white people because they’d better understand our needs? Obama would’ve never have become President if this were the case. Should men only vote for men? What these people are saying is outrageous. I just don’t understand why liberals don’t get how crazy this is.
I’ve got an idea, why don’t we vote for a candidate not based on gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. and instead on their character and individual platforms? Isn’t this supposed to be our goal as a society? It’s certainly what the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., wanted.
