Michelle Obama wrote in her book the following: "When I became First Lady, a lot of people didn't know what a black woman looked like or sounded like." Of course, the mainstream media isn't blasting her for her racist comment because unlike how they treat Melania, they never hold Michelle accountable for the things she does and says.
I'd say most white people have seen and heard many black women in their lives some of which they probably had a crush on like Halle Berry, Whitney Houston, and Vanessa Williams. What about Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald? How about Oprah? We were exposed to many awesome African American women well before Michelle came along.
What Michelle Obama wrote was disgusting and very much offended me. It was demeaning. It's yet another reminder based on several things both Obamas have said in the past, that they helped divide our country well before Trump came along.
