1) Have you noticed that when a Supreme Court nominee has been put forth by a president from the Democratic Party, that the hearings aren't a circus? No one has come forth with wild allegations that aren't true. Republicans don't ask questions about whether or not the nominee partied in high school or college. Whether they smoked. Whether they took drugs. Whether they took part in an orgy on a boat. The questions are about the person's actual record, which with the exception of appearing to be somewhat criminal friendly, Ketanji Brown Jackson appears to be pretty solid. I like when she said being a judge is difficult because you constantly have to temper your own ideology to ensure you're staying in your lane. I appreciate her being honest about this. I wasn't expecting to like her, but I do.
2) Unless something crazy comes out, there's no doubt in my mind that republicans will approve her. Of course partly because she's what is called "a wash." Meaning putting her on the Supreme Court when conservative justices have a 6-3 advantage won't destroy the Court's effectiveness. She's replacing someone who was considered on be on the Left, so when it comes to rulings, things wouldn't change much unless Judge Brown Jackson is more independent than they thought.
3) You might already know this, but I didn't, I just found out that AOC has never accepted an open debate about her Green New Deal. Wouldn't this be a great way for her to prove to everyone the merits of her plan? Why doesn't she take advantage of this great opportunity to humiliate republicans who don't support her initiatives and gain favor with the American public? She doesn't want this. All she wants is a platform to spew her crazy ideology and has no desire to back up her claims. Who in the hell are her constituents? Maybe AOC and the people who support her should be committed to a mental hospital? This would be safter for our country and for those naive lunatics who are clueless about the real world.
4) There's video footage of Russian soldiers looting convenience stores and grocery stores. What are they after? Mostly food and drinks. What might this tell us about the current state of their supply lines? Maybe nothing. Maybe everything.
5) It very much worries me that the Biden Administration isn't accepting fault, or even partial fault, for any of the problems we're experiencing. It concerns me because how in the world can we have hope for things getting better, when they don't think they've done anything wrong? Our only hope at this point is to win the House and Senate during the mid-term elections. I'll repeat this very important point, it's our only hope.
