I could list countless examples but one of them is relevant to the topic of today and that is gun control. First of all, only a small fraction of people are killed using assault rifles; most are murdered via handguns. It's interesting that if someone is drunk and commits vehicular homicide, he or she is to blame, not the car. If someone stabs someone else to death, the focus is on the person not the knife. If someone uses a tire iron to kill someone else, the focus is on the murderer, not the tire iron. But when it comes to guns, the Left focuses on the instrument used.
Here's one of the greatest lies we're told and that is that the U.S. is the leading country in mass killings. Most liberals reference a study that goes back to 1960 and if you reference these countries, very few have ever tracked data on mass killings. In other words, they shouldn't have even been in the study. Most countries don't even have the same definition as to what qualifies as mass murder. In the U.S. if three or more people are murdered it is listed at the FBI as a mass murder while another country might require at least three times this amount to qualify as a mass murder. In other words, it's not a fair comparison. Then there's the fact that we're one of the largest countries in the world, so we would have more mass murders.
Hidden in their data is the truth that when a fair comparison is made, countries like Sudan, China, pretty much all middle eastern countries, etc., suffer from gun violence way more so than citizens in the U.S. I'm not saying we don't have a problem and are in need of some policy changes, but liberals' tactic of the end justifies the means (which is lying), should be called out at every turn.
