Moneys Impact on National Security

7/1/2018

It there’s one consistent theme when it comes to President Trump it’s over the issue of National Security. The thing is a lot of people tend to think that foreign policies set the tone for our security but without financial strength we’d pretty much not have anything.

Why do other countries treat us with respect? Trade. We are a country of over 300 million people and comparably speaking we are one of the wealthiest. We have clout and because of this when we speak people listen. I’m sure they respect our military, but they also know the U.S. isn’t an aggressive country…we certainly don’t go around taking territory from other countries unlike what Russia has done.

The larger our economy the more military strength we can purchase and that’s just what the Trump Administration has done. The pursuit is to reaffirm our spot as a superpower militarily speaking but also economically speaking as well. Our unemployment is the lowest its been in decades. Unemployment rates for non-whites are at their all-time low. Our GDP is growing at a good rate again which is a direct reflection on our economy as we can eventually pursue a surplus budget. The bottom line is an increasing GDP means increased tax revenues to pay off our debts.

Besides the above, President Trump also has a focus on illegal immigration because it weakens national security when its ineffective and it has been. He hasn’t created any new laws because that’s not his job, but his job is to ensure that current laws are being followed and that’s exactly what has happened. No more catch and release.  No more sending children over unattended. The bottom line is he’s treating illegals like, well, illegals.

Not everyone is a Trump fan (on a personal level I’m not), but the fact is he’s getting the job done in his most vital role of all and that is our national security and he’s doing it by covering all angles (i.e. foreign policies, immigration, military readiness, trade, etc.).
