Democrats and the mainstream media quickly coined it: “The Monica Lewinsky Scandal” when in fact it was the “President Bill Clinton Scandal.” They controlled the narrative from the beginning and began vicious attacks on Monica’s character making it sound like she made the whole story up and that she was doing it to get her 15 minutes of fame. Who in the world would want this kind of fame? Why didn’t the women’s rights groups help Monica?
Could you imagine if President Trump had a sexual affair with a White House Intern? The Left would lose their minds and demand Trump be impeached. Where was their outrage during Clinton’s scandal? It wasn’t even the first time Clinton had been tied to other women which in the end, he had to settle out of court for sexual assault/misconduct. What’s worse is Clinton lied about the affair with Monica thus calling her a liar…a message heard around the world. She was an innocent 22 year- old with no voice and Democrats were burying her in the press.
I feel so sorry for what Monica went through and come to find out, President Clinton never apologized to her…he never even spoke to her again. How does that fit the Me-Too narrative? He’s not taking ownership for what he did. Women’s Rights groups have the chance to make good on their platform and that is to hold President Clinton responsible for treating Monica like a piece of trash.
