The duration of the game was under two and a half hours which means commercials made up around 37% of the program. Could it be, as suggested, that the NFL is taking advantage of us? Fans writing in sure thought so along with many sports analysts and anchors.
I've studied over the last two years, many major networks down to specific programs to see how much advertising is done on their shows. And guess what? It usually averaged out to around 34% of commercial time so there isn't that much of a difference between what the NFL is doing for their games and what we experience with the shows we watch. The bottom line is there are many reasons to be mad at the NFL, this isn't one of them.
That being said, Go Chiefs!! Sorry Bears!!!
