Just a reminder to everyone that the Obama Administration had a history of using the intelligence community for political purposes so for Democrats on The Hill to try and make themselves out to be all about human rights, they sure don't walk the talk.
Remember the Iran Deal negotiations? In December 2015, The Wall Street Journal revealed that the Obama administration used the NSA to cast a wide net of surveillance around not just Israeli officials and diplomats, but American lawmakers who were friendly towards Israel as well as Jewish-American groups. No doubt every bit of this was political.
They had the NSA monitor Fox News White House Correspondent James Rosen and his family. There was absolutely no legitimate reason for investigating him and was solely about Obama not getting favorable press from Fox News even though Fox didn't lie about anything. The Obama Administration just got a slap on the wrist over invading Rosen’s Constitutional rights.
The way the Obama Administration worked is the epitome of Chicago politics. He was a terrible unethical President and as long as racial politics don't get involved, American historians will make this point.
