I had two friends who took flying lessons. Neither was advantaged in life and were working a few jobs to get the money to take flying lessons. One went to work for the airlines and the other joined the Air Force. For these guys to be told they are where they are because of white privilege is insulting.
Then he went on to say that they're going to change their policies to get more minorities (gender and race), as pilots. No longer will these young men with white privilege and with flying experience that the Air Force always said they wanted, get any advantage for their expertise. Keep in mind, these people who have already received training are able to save the Air Force a lot of money. But that doesn't matter right? It's all about SJW.
Now here's the big question, will the changes the Air Force is going to make cause us to be a much more effective fighting machine? Isn't that what every decision should be about? How to make our military stronger with the most efficient amount of money?
We'd better stop this train before it goes flying off the tracks!
