Juan Williams, a liberal commentator on Fox News, blamed the chaos at the Mexican border on Trump. Nothing unusual as according to Democrats Trump is responsible for everything bad.
Let me shoot Juan down even though I like him as a person. How could Trump be responsible for the chaos at the border when he told countries like Honduras that they need to clean up house there because we weren't going to allow their citizens into our country? It was a warning for these immigrants not to come. We told Mexico to stop them from reaching our borders because they'll end up being their problem because we weren't going to let these people in. Once again, the immigrants were warned to not bother coming here.
Why wasn’t Trump going to allow them in? According to Democrats it’s because Trump and Republicans in general, are immoral, we hate brown people, but the truth (something inconvenient to Democrats), is that our ports of entry are already packed and people who are trying to enter our country legally have been waiting a long time to get in.
Why in the world would we allow these new immigrants to jump to the head of the line? President Obama said they shouldn’t. We've been processing around one million immigrants each year because that's all we can handle (i.e. child care, dental, detention centers, employees to process applications and background checks if available, medical, security, etc.).
Congress has done nothing to increase our capacity to handle more immigrants because they know we can’t afford it. The Obama Administration and his Congress could've passed any legislation they wanted regarding immigration, but they didn't. Democrats weren't complaining then but now it somehow has become a problem that Trump created. They are knowingly deceiving their constituents once again. When are they going to see how stupid their representatives think they are?
I've been watching a lot of video footage of what's happening in Tijuana and the U.S. border. I've noticed there aren't any liberals there who helped the caravans get here in the first place, helping to protect the lives of the Mexican police and U.S. border patrol agents who are now being rushed and put in danger.
We allow over one million people into our country each year to work towards U.S. citizenship. All, documented immigrants who followed the rules. Why do so many liberals from large cities want even more immigrants in when they're inundated already with homelessness and severe financial problems.
If they want more immigration, then change the laws for processing them. Let us know just how many employees we'd have to add to effectively process new immigrants; by my calculations it would take over a 1,000.
Then lastly, and more importantly, let the citizens of the U.S. know just exactly how many immigrants we can afford to bring in because not a single Democrat, let me reiterate, not a single Democrat has provided this answer. Once again, they want to throw money at a problem with absolutely no idea what it will take. I find this very dangerous in more ways than one.
How about the evil border agents using tear gas? Homeland Security just came out with a report that tear gas was used pretty much monthly during the Obama Administration. Obama does it, it's not evil, Trump does it, it's evil. Double-standards by liberals are absolutely disgusting.
Why is it that time and time again, Democrats blame the problems we have on Republicans and not the immigrants rushing our borders to get in illegally? These immigrants didn’t go to the area that processes claims for political asylum, they tried to run over Border patrol officers and the police. They threw rocks at them. They climbed the wall. If you watch CNN and MSNBC, you probably didn’t see this coverage, just the mom and her children running from the scene which the immigrants created.
My message to liberals, take care of U.S. citizens first (i.e. children, homeless, vets, etc.), and when you've done that, then take on more immigrants. You know we can’t do both and you need to be honest with your constituents about it. You’re just using immigration as another ploy to fire up your base under false pretenses and collect money for your coffers. I don’t think this is moral.
