Last year 2.5 million hours were spent by federal government employees on union related duties; are you happy about your tax dollars being spent this way? Even the liberal Teddy Roosevelt didn’t believe in public unions because he said the collective bargaining isn’t with corporations about getting more of their “fair share” of profits instead the government union employees want their “fair share” of our tax dollars. This is so wrong.
Did you know that many of these employees are given time off to help with political campaigns with pact money and on the ground through volunteer service…they volunteer their time but we don’t volunteer our tax dollars. There shouldn’t be a public union pact. They sell it as doing their civic duty but let’s face it anyone who supports any union will get their support. Do you want your tax dollars spent on getting democrats elected? I’d feel the same way if unions were doing this for republicans because it’s not right.
Do you see any legitimate reasons for public unions to exist? Unions might make sense in some labor intensive industries but besides this their value declines dramatically and so has their membership. Please let your representatives know how you feel. Let them know you don’t support public unions and what specifically can the representatives do to get rid of them.
