During a morning break, I was talking to some people and they said they were really looking forward to my speech; apparently, I was the next speaker and I didn't know I was supposed to be speaking at the event. A huge miscommunication.
My heart dropped. Fear set in and I found a bulletin (which I hadn't read yet), and there was my name and I was scheduled to speak for 20 minutes about strategies and tactics towards selling products to large retailers.
I was in shock as I walked up to the stage (I was probably white as a ghost), and I'm not sure what all I said as I was in a trance but somehow, I pulled it off.
Public speaking is a great fear to a lot of people but I can tell you that it's made MUCH easier when you prepare!
