First, it’s not Trump's job to know who’s who in the military. The Seal Team members who are operationally active know not to be in pictures and they weren’t; the media’s claim was ridiculous. To make matters worse in reference to their lying, is the picture they were referencing (shown in their articles), wasn’t an official Seal Team member he was the chaplain on base. His job didn’t include top secret operations where he couldn’t have his picture taken.
If you want to see how the media has misled everyone, Google: “Pictures of Seal Team Five,” and you won’t see any. If the media had them, they’d show them to bring credibility to their reporting. You’ll notice in some of the media’s misleading verbiage that they use the word “if,” meaning if Trump took a picture with the Seal Team it would be a national security issue. Basically, they’re not saying he did it, but they bury the lead and hope people don’t notice the word “if.”
They used some former Navy personnel who made derogatory comments about Trump but what they said was also based on “if,” Trump did it. It of course made the media’s reports sound legit by using credible sources, but they were taking the statements out of context and not letting people know that people interviewed commenting on a scenario because they too hadn’t seen evidence of pictures of Seal Team Five. By the way, something most of the media left out is that the Department of Defense came out and said there were no violations.
This is what our media has become. It’s a mentality, of the truth is just an obstacle to overcome and the end justifies the means. Very sad.
