Self Policing (One Minute to Read)

Instead of being handled like the rest of our society politicians go before The Ethics Committee (which is comprised of other politicians) when they’re being charged for a crime or ethics violation.

Some of the various charges are listed below:

   - Accessory to male prostitution

   - Bribes

   - Extortion

   - Having sex with a minor

   - Income tax evasion

   - Misappropriation of funds

   - Obstruction of justice

   - Sexual harassment

   - Voter fraud

It’s never a good idea to allow a group of people to police themselves. It’s hard to judge someone when some of the judges are guilty of the same crimes. Anything they do creates precedence so it sets the tone should they ever go before the Ethics Committee.
