Some liberals are trying to get rid of Mayim Bialik from hosting Jeopardy with false accusations about her that have been debunked every single time. Of course she played Amy on the amazing television show The Big Bang Theory, but more importantly, she's an extremely intelligent neuroscientist with minor degrees in Hebrew and Jewish studies from UCLA. Now that I think about it, since she had her own television show when she was a teenager, she's been going non-stop her entire life. She almost added a medical degree but she had way too much going on. Exactly the type person who'd give Jeopardy additional credibility.
Liberals are demanding that an African American get the job of hosting Jeopardy, and in this case, they want LeVar Burton to assume the role. I'm a fan of his because he's a great person inside and out. His parents were awesome human beings, and the apple did not fall far from the tree. I believe he'd do a great job on the show, but this post isn't about that, it's about allowing a person's color of skin to be a part of any hiring criteria.
By the way, all fake story liberals have made up about her in hopes of getting her fired, have been debunked by professional fact-checkers. These liberals in so many cases are willing to destroy peoples' lives with lies. Very disgusting.
Does anyone else see how outrageous this is? NBC has the right to choose who they think would be the best fit for their show. Equal opportunity is supposed to mean for everyone regardless of political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. Calling people racists because they want the right person for the job, is appalling.
Jeopardy has an audience that is primarily white, educated, and over the age of 50. How would they like it if they were forced to have a white person host a show on BET? They wouldn't. They'd say it's not what their viewers want, and they'd be right, which means in this case, they're wrong. Being forced to put people in positions just because of the color of their skin, isn't moral. It's what our country fought to get away from.
Here's the thing, and it is so easily backed up, those words that were used all those years ago about racial bias, racism, segregation, etc., are now back in play and it's certain segments of the African American community who are guilty of it. They separate themselves from the white community such as on college campuses where there are black student unions. Where they demand "proper," representation in beauty pageants but won't let a white woman participate in theirs. The double standards are horrific.
I've been around long enough to know that with some people, it's never enough. All those trillions of dollars taxpayers put into various African American communities over the years to provide clothes, college educations, computers, food, internet access, mobile phones, school supplies, and shelter, and yet some of them want more through reparations.
They've been told that they're the ones responsible for the success of our country when this actually makes no sense. Cotton in the south wasn't a make-or-break crop for the entire United States. Nor were African Americans significant factors in the establishment of our country. I know many of them hate it, along with some women, but it was a bunch of old, white, men who established the framework for our amazing Republic. Facts not feelings, right?
Because they've been convinced otherwise, they feel they aren't getting their fair share of wealth. They believe white people owe them and aren't willing to accept this fact. And keep in mind that if we actually used their formula for getting greater representation, then Hispanics would have a larger seat at the table than African Americans because they comprise around 18% of the U.S. population while blacks represent only 12.4% of our nation, which as a percentage is around 45% less. It's the Hispanic community, not the black community, who are underrepresented according to their own self-prescribed formula which they've mandated everyone use.
The conversation won't be pleasant, but it's time to quit placating people who are more than capable of accomplishing great things if only they weren't falsely told they're victims. Some of their parents, grandparents, and certainly, great grandparents, were victims, but those things began going away in 1964.
There's not a law on the books now which holds African Americans back. My gosh, not only do millions of African American families send their own children to good colleges, but through various financial aid, African Americans (mostly female), are now filling many seats in some of the most prestigious colleges in the country.
Evidence abounds that demonstrates times have changed for the better when it comes to race relations. And guess when things began going south? At the very time it shouldn't have when President Obama was in office. It's idiotic to say that there's systemic racism in the U.S. when an African American is voted in as president of the United States of America. It's insane to think differently.
Democrats push the narrative that racism is terrible these days, when in fact, we've come a long way in creating equal opportunities for various segments of our society. If we celebrate how far we've come it will make us want to do even better but attempting to demonize conservatives and calling them racists, naturally leads to frustration that nothing is working, that nothing is appreciated in how people have changed, so why try to do better?
This concept applies to a lot of different areas in our lives. Some democrats have really messed up race relations because the worst thing that can happen is to cause the other side to put their hands up in the air and give up trying. And the fact is, a lot of white people are getting extremely fed up with the double-standards that are now in play. Does this help race relations? I think not.
The double-standards when it comes to the different races is definitely tearing people apart. For example, liberals believe that African Americans aren't getting fair representation in various jobs, while at the same time, are perfectly fine with not using any quotas in industries where they are the majority such as in certain sports. So, in other words, since they want to require organizations to provide them with fair representation, then where does that number come from? What do they consider fair?
There's only one place and that is the U.S. Census where it shows that African Americans comprise 12.4% of the U.S. population and yet they want way more representation than this as seen pretty much everywhere including on television shows and movies. They don't think it's fair that there are so many white coaches when most of the players are black. Why would a white coach treat the players differently than a black coach? If they think this, then there's a real underlying problem and it's theirs. The fact is, many democrats have made everything about race and this only serves to hurt our great country.
The major networks are moving towards minorities representing at least half of their casts on television shows, which means they'll be discriminating against white people who are actually the majority in this country. Doesn't this go against what we're trying to accomplish?
How can they legitimately pick and choose when to use this method? If it can be used for a television show, why wouldn't it be used for let's say the NBA? In this case, since there are 15 players on the team, then there should only be around two black players. I write this tongue in cheek, yet this is exactly what they're doing everywhere else. I want the best players on the court regardless of any demographics. I'm sure Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., would feel the same.
It's time for the false narratives about whites holding back African Americans to go away in order to actually help blacks become more successful. Many young African Americans have chips on their shoulders about white people who have done absolutely nothing wrong against them. As a matter of fact, African Americans are hurt in many ways by members of their own community, way more so than by the police and white people in general. But even though this is true, they don't see it this way mostly because of black activists who cause them to be jaded. They ruin their lives and I find this very sad.
This needs to stop, which will require people who are white to step up and fight for their rights. Maybe do some protesting of their own? How about having training sessions to create white activists? You can bet they'd be called racists which is a horrific double-standard. Race relations will never be perfect but when people see fair treatment among the people around them, it brings people closer together. It's been this way since the beginning of mankind, and where it doesn't exist, we'll find bad race relations.
The moment one group thinks they're not getting a fair shake, relationships break down, and this is where we are. The saddest thing of all is that people who were capable of accomplishing great things in the world, have been held back by people from their own race. Racial division is a lucrative business for many black activists like we've seen with the Black Lives Matter organization. Have Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson even driven a car in the last twenty years? They live lavish lifestyles at the expense of the people they're supposed to be serving. From a legal perspective, I believe many of these people have committed fraud; basically, getting people to send money based off of false premises.
Regardless of gender, gender identity, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc., no group has a moral authority over another. There are good and bad people regardless of their segment in society. The problem is when we cover for our "team," instead of holding it accountable. The problem is when we only care about our team. The problem is when we think we're "better' than another group so we don't respect what they can contribute to society. This creates a self-inflicted wound that prevents us from experiencing better lives.
We often put ourselves on a pedestal and actually believe we're more moral than the other segments of our society. For example, how do African Americans know that they would've treated whites any differently if the roles were reversed back in the days of slavery? They don't. It isn't possible to know but I'll go out on a limb and say that they would've responded just like whites did. The reason I think this is that nothing has ever come out from the medical community which states that African Americans have a special gene that makes them more or less, moral than other races.
Even with the above in mind, whites are constantly being demonized. And what's worse, is that some African Americans are holding whites accountable for things they never did. You see it's hard to make a claim that race was the main factor in slavery when whites have been enslaved for thousands of years well before blacks were. Take the Jewish people for example; they know a thing or two about slavery, and the Roman armies created slaves pretty much everywhere they went. It was a crime, so to speak, of convenience and not anything to do with a particular race. Whomever had the power, exercised it. Should all those different groups throughout history, like the Israelites, pursue reparations? Of course not, that would be ridiculous and so is the pursuit of it in the U.S.
I hope you found the above insightful. I may have put it on paper, but these aren't my original thoughts, they're ones that I received from people who are part of the African American community and I'm just passing them on. Those who are embarrassed at the actions and words from certain segments of their own race. I certainly understand that, as there are people who are white that totally embarrass me. Shoot, sometimes I embarrass myself. It's not a race thing, it's a human being thing.
