I just finished listening to Tezlyn Figaro, who worked on the Bernie Sanders campaign for almost two years, explain how some of the volunteer processes worked. She explained that some people get involved in a campaign after the announcement but that a lot of hard work goes into a presidential campaign way before things become official because people like her have to do so much groundwork.
This is why she's so upset about Clinton and the DNC working together. She said that not only were millions of dollars wasted but also millions of people who believed in Bernie and our election system were victimized. She was absolutely livid especially that the mainstream media blew off the story. In her opinion, it will negatively impact future voting of young people, so it should’ve mattered to the media.
It’s simple, the DNC helped rig the system against Sanders with financial help from Hillary and threw millions of Bernie supporters under the bus. All those great rallies Bernie had (way more people than what Hillary had at hers), and they naively thought they had a chance to win. I’m glad Bernie’s not our President but I admit I feel sorry for him and his millions of naïve supporters.
