The Democrat candidates for 2020 are all supporting the "New Green," legislation. The problem? It doesn't exist. Cortez turned in a note to have a new green deal but since she doesn't have a clue how to write legislation, it's just that, a note. Even if she knew how to write legislation she wouldn't have time. I don't know if her supporters have noticed but she's rarely in her office working. She's a talker, not a worker.
The last time Democrats made a "green push," we lost billions of dollars. The green components of The Stimulus Package costs taxpayers much more than what the border wall costs and at least it wouldn't be money poured down the drain. This is a statement that the Energy Institute made during Obama's reign, that the mainstream media tried to bury: "President Obama subsidized solar and other renewable energy in the United States with taxpayer money to the tune of $39 billion per year on average for the past 5 years. These massive subsidies, however, have done little to increase the contribution of solar power to the electricity generation mix as solar is expected to produce just 0.6 percent of electricity generation this year." I truly could write a book on how the mainstream media covered for President Obama by not running negative stories about him that U.S. citizens deserved to know.
Remember when Obama had a huge press conference at Solyndra's corporate office? He was touting his Administration's commitment to green energy. Notice he didn't go back there for people to see how it had shut down. Taxpayers lost $500M on the deal and it wasn't the only one that went bust and wasn't covered by the liberal media.
There's one thing I can promise you, any "green deal," means we'll be coughing up a lot of green. How in the world can we afford costly green initiatives along with all the free things Democrat candidates are now offering? For people to buy what they're selling proves P.T. Barnum was right: "There's a sucker is born every day."
